Chapter 24

I had just laid my head down on the pillow after a very stressful night at the bonfire when I hear my laptop start ringing. I get up and walk over to see it's Alex.
"Hey little bro." I say with a smile and notice all three little brothers there. "Brothers." I correct and they all laugh.

"How are you Sami?" Harry ask and I smile back at them trying to hide how I'm really feeling.

"I am good. Just got back from a get together with Belle and Tia." I say with a smile. I look at my brothers faces and Harry and Ben look like they bought it but Alex looks skeptic.

"I am gonna leave them to talk to you for a bit, they need to go to bed sooner." Alex says standing up off his bed.

"So how is America treating you?" Ben asks.

"It is kind of nice to be home again, but I really cannot wait to come back to Genovia." I say and they both smile.

"Wait until Dad sends you to a foreign country for the first time. You will not want to come back." Harry says with a laugh.

"Touché, I guess since I grew up here, America is a little boring to me. Especially since I only get to tour D.C." I say and he nods his head.

"Have you found our souvenirs yet?" Ben asks.

"Not yet, I will be shopping for them the day before I come back." I tell them and they laugh.

"Harry! Ben! Mom says it is time for you to go to bed." Alex says coming back into view.

"But we barely got to talk to her!" Harry says.

"Do not worry Harry. I will be back in just a few weeks." I say with a smile and they both get off Alex's bed and walk out of the room. Alex and I stay quiet until he hears his door latch.

"What is wrong?" Alex asks looking at the camera.

"Nothing...I have no idea what you are talking about." I tell him and he just looks at me.

"You know what I mean. What happened to you tonight? You are shaking like crazy!" He says.

"Nothing important, I am fine, and that is all that matters." I say and he shakes his head.
"Please tell me?" He asks and I sigh. I have grown really close to Liz and Alex these last few months, I guess he would find out eventually anyways.

"I went to a bonfire tonight. There was alcohol, my friends wandered off and got drunk, and some creepy drunk guy came up and was trying to get me drunk. A good Samaritan came along and helped me out, drove the girls home and then I drove myself back to the embassy." I say and Alex shakes his head.
"You went without security did you not?" He asks and I nod my head.

"What was I supposed to do Alex? Here it is not like back in Genovia. Here no one unless they are in the public eye actually has security. I am a normal person here still. If I had brought security people would have swarmed me. I left the guards so I could have a normal night. I got lucky that someone helped me. I know, and now I understand why security is a great thing." I say and he just nods his head.

"I cannot really yell at you because you know what you did wrong, and I am younger than you so this is all I am going to say.... Please be careful." He says.

"I will do not worry." I tell him.

"Now get some sleep, I will see you when you gethome." He says with a smile before hanging up the call. I close my laptop andcrawl into my bed. I can't believe that actually happened to me and I can'tbelieve I actually told Alex. I just hope he doesn't tell dad.
