Today is the big day. I meet my siblings today, and I also get to move into my suite! I do not get to move into my suite till the end of the day. Caroline and Lou are working on my makeup room and my closet, while some of the maids are making sure everything is clean. I grab the only outfit that is left in my closet, it is a light pink knee length skirt, a black long sleeve off the shoulder shirt, and a pair of white wedges. I change into the outfit and look in the mirror. I pull my long brown hair over my left shoulder and secure it watching the curls fall down my side. I do some very light makeup and walk out of the guest room for the last time. I head down the hallway and somehow I manage to make my way to the dining hall.

"Good morning sweetheart!" My dad says as I step into the room.

"Good morning." I say smiling at him and I walk over to my seat at the table and sit down to my bagel, yogurt and fruit. I start eating and my dad notices that I am very quiet this morning.
"Are you ok this morning Samantha?" Eleanor asks me from across the table.
"Yea, I am fine." I say not looking up from my plate.

"Are you nervous about meeting your siblings today?" Dad asks me.

"A little." I tell him and he nods his head.

"As soon as you win Clary's heart over everyone else is easy." He says. "Clary is the baby in their eyes, and you could make her love you by just smiling at her." He says causing me to laugh.

"I just feel like they are not going to like me because they never knew about me. I feel like Alex will hate me because I am just all of a sudden stepping in and maybe taking the crown away from him." I explain and dad stands up and walks over to me pulling me out of my chair and into a hug.
"Do not think like that even for a moment. In fact, I think Alex will enjoy the fact that he will not be first in line for the crown anymore." He says while rubbing my back.

"Thanks dad." I say as he lets me go.
"Now you finish up your breakfast and I left some stuff for you in your study. Your siblings will be here around lunch time, so Eleanor will probably come get you before they get home." Dad says as he takes a seat at the head of the table again.

"Alright." I quickly finish my breakfast and excuse myself from the dining hall and head to my study. Once I get there I see a stack of boxes sitting on my desk I walk over and see an envelope on top of the box. I unstack the boxes and find four boxes of varying sizes. They all have numbers on the top of them. I set them on the desk in numerical order then open the envelope as I sit down and read the note with in.

Samantha,

My dearest daughter. I want you to know that I am so very sorry that I was not present in your childhood years. Your grandmother always kept me up to date with everything. I have pictures of you from every concert you were ever in, every achievement you had. I even have copies of all of your report cards. I am proud of you for everything that you have done, and I want you to know that no matter what decision you make I will be proud of you regardless. I was there when you were born and from the moment that I first held you, you had a very special place in my heart.

I hope that the items in these boxes will not sway your decision of becoming an official princess on way or another. Inside of box number one is something that I hope you will hold close to your heart. Go ahead and open the box.

I set the letter back down on the desk and grab box number one and lift off the lid. I move the tissue paper out of the way and I see the most beautiful heart shaped necklace I have ever seen. I lift the necklace out of the box and realize that it is a locket. I open the locket and see that there is a picture in it, of someone holding a baby. I grab the letter to see if there is any explanation in there.
