My brother sleeps out on the couch. I've never seen him so tired before. His girlfriend Olivia hated my guts, she never wanted anything to do with me. But that isn't why he is so tired. Blake was on the Treasured High school Football team, they would always drill him. I couldn't sleep at all tonight, I felt like something bad was going to happen. I was so wound up that the smallest noise made me jump.
A loud thud is heard and I cover my head with my pillow. I try to persuade myself that it was only my brother falling off the couch. But it sounded more like a door being swung open and hitting a wall. Fear builds inside me as I hear a beep.
"This one is to sad and miserable." A man says. "Take him outside." He adds loudly."Wait what are you doing in our house?!!" My brother's thick voice yells, I can hear resisting kicks' from the living room. There is no reply. Footsteps stop to kick the door open in the middle of the hallway. That was my mom and dad's room. Two gunshots are heard. Cold adrenaline rushes through my body 'they killed my parents!' Is my thought before the door to my room is slammed open. I freeze. My pillow and blanket are ripped from my body. All I was wearing was a pair of blue pajama pants and a cotton candy pink shirt that complemented my thin frame. I jolt upwards from my side and press my back against the headboard of my bed.
"Tessa Greywood." A man in a tacky but bulky uniform speaks with a smile plastered on his face. "We have killed your parents for betrayal. If you and your brother cooperate we will let you live in a 5 star prison. If not we will kill you." He says simply, after he finishes he nods to his body guard. The man approaches me I squirm away he grabs me by my left ankle and drags me to him. Tears rush down my face. My parents were gone, and without them I don't know what to do. He grabs my wrists and drags me out into the yard. As we'd passed the clock I saw the time. 12:00. The man tosses me to me brother. My straight, long, light brown hair falls into Blake's green eyes as he catches me.
"Hey little sister." He chuckles in a tired whisper.
"Hello big brother." I reply softly.
"Don't cry. It makes green eyes look bad." He says, humor was clear in his voice.
"But they killed our parents Blake." I complain, as silent tears streak down my face. He wipes them away with his thumbs.
"I know, but it's alright. Would they want you to cry?" I sigh and nod my head no.
"Okay times up!" The guard rips me away from my brother and tosses me to the sidewalk I skin my arms as I hit pavement. I watch as they put my 19 and 1/2 year old brother I a kneeling potion. I soon realized what's going on. He's to old. I feel weight on my back. "You're 19 and 1/2 if I am correct Blake Callahan?" One man carrying a gun asks.
"Yes sir." My brother replies. I can't move. Blake looks at me with a sad smile.
"I love you Tess. Don't cry okay, I'll see you soon. I love you so much sis." His black hair falls in his eyes as he speaks. "Goodbye." Is his last word before the man fires his gun at Blake's head. Blood leaks through the grass, and a small tear leaves Blake's eye. I burst into more tears. He killed my brother. He killed him."I will kill you, you bastard!" I choke. He laughs deeply.
"Arlo take the girl to the prison and put her in block A cell 90." He says through laughs.
"Yes Richard." So that was the man's name. He is already dead.
