Chapter 25 - the solution

I froze in my tracks when I saw him sitting on the bench looking out into the night and all fear I had vanished as I saw the love of my life sitting there. after almost four months he was still here and that drowned any fear I had. 

I confidently strode over to him and sat next to him.

"For a guy you get this really girly look in your eyes when you look at the stars."

I wasn't looking at him but I knew he was looking at me. I could feel his eyes burning a hole into the side of my head.

"You're here , shortcake you're here."

"I'm here and I'm not going anywhere without you." 

And with that I hugged And kissed him like my life depended on it for in that moment nothing mattered. not jasmine or the rest of that dreadful side of my family just me and him. we could figure out the rest tomorrow.

Chapter 24 - the solution

"Elliot I would have come sooner but I couldn't"

He looked concerned "why not ? I thought you were moving on from me and never wanted to see me again , but I still had to come I would come every Friday if I had to."

"No ! don't ever think like that , don't you know that I love you?"

I cupped his hands in my face staring him deep into his eyes.

"Then why didn't you come sooner?"

"I was in and out of a coma for the last three and a half months Elliot I came here as soon as I got out of the hospital."

He looked grief stricken

"Aria I am so sorry I had no idea I couldn't call or anything that was apart of my deal with them."

"I figured as much but all I wanted to do when I woke up was be with you as when you weren't there I had to come and find you."

"I'm glad you did"

I knew if ruin the moment but I had to

"What about jasmine?" I looked down and started playing with my fingers waiting for his reply.

"Two months ago she realized I was never going to love her how I love you and she gave up , she actually has a boyfriend now they couldn't be more perfect."

He laughed but I could here something off in his voice I always knew when something was wrong.

"Elliot what is it?"

He sighed deeply and ran a hand through his hair which I noticed he had grown out a little bit and how he had what looked like a weeks stubble lining his face which made him look absolutely sexy. while I was drooling I hadn't realized he had started talking.

"She's dead."

"Wait .. who's dead?"

"My sister , they killed her when they thought I broke up with jasmine"

"Oh god no Elliot I'm so sorry"

He chuckled

"It's okay ari surprisingly it didn't hurt me as much as I thought it would she made her choice a long time ago I lost my sister when she turned to drugs and maybe that was my fault but she could have tried to stop if she really wanted to."

"It wasn't your fault you know , you had nothing to do with it , everything happens for a reason you know, if they hadn't killed her the drugs would have eventually."
