Chapter 27 - Introductions

Her face spread into a wide grin and then she practically attacked me with a hug she then started chanting gran babies over and over again which made me blush furiously and Elliot to ask the nurse if her medication was working the nurse just laughed and excused her self shutting to door behind her.


"Mum don't scare her away."

"I'm sorry I've just lacked social interaction for a while then my son and his girlfriend come over that's cause for celebration don't you think"


"Isn't your medication supposed to calm you down not hype you up?"


"Not because they say I'm crazy means I'm not fun I was always a fire cracker."


Elliot winced when she said crazy which made her look sadly at him

"It's okay son I've come to accept my condition , and as long as I stay on my medication it's like it isn't there but this medication is expensive how can you afford it?"

Elliot didn't answer.


"Where is your sister Elliot?"

"She died mum"


The mother looked heartbroken at this and started to cry before waving Elliot over

"Come on then tell me what I've missed in your life I've lost one child I'm never losing you."


I tried excusing myself to give them some privacy but they refused and Elliot pulled me on to his lap in front of his mother which made my hide my face with my hair while she laughed and called us absolutely adorable.



We spent hours talking with her shedding tears going through the past until the sun was beginning to set signaling the end of visiting hours. when Elliot left to start signing his mothers release papers we started to chat 


"He looks at you like your the most precious thing on the planet , I never thought that my son could be happy after everything he has been through but you , you're the reason why." 

" I love him is all and I would do anything to make him happy."

"Thank you for bringing my son back into my life. Come here"

Boy was she a huger.


"I'm not interrupting girl talk am I ?"


We laugh at Elliot's horrified expression.


"No you twat I'm just talking with this beautiful girl of yours." 

Elliot grinned and interlaced our fingers.


"A week before the process is complete and you can leave and then we can take it from there yea?"

"Yes we can."

After promises to return tomorrow Elliot gave the driver an address keeping me in suspense the whole way there. he was quiet from the moment we left the building but each time he met my eyes he would give me that heart melting smile letting me know that he was alright. I must have dozed of because when we arrived at our destination Elliot was waking me up and the sun was almost completely set.

"Come on shortcake."


He wrapped a hand around my waist and lead me out to a dock above the most beautiful lake I've ever seen.


"Thank you."


I wasn't looking at him but I could feel his gaze on me as he wrapped both hands around my waist and placed his chin in the crook of my neck.

"Don't thank me."

"Aria yes thank you . thank you for coming into my life , for being stubborn , for doing everything to make me happy , for never giving up on me I love you."


"I love you too pretty boy."

"Pretty boy?"


"I want a nickname too."


He chuckled and we stay silent for a bit

Then he sighed 


"Aria , Thai isn't gonna be easy. it's gonna be really hard. we're gonna have to work at this everyday but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you forever you and me every day."

With that I turned around and kissed him. and I knew that I could kiss him everyday for the rest of my life.

One Month Later

"Elliot will you stop moving around like that"

he looked down at me "i'm nervous this is her first time to America , what if everyone hates her or something"

"i can guarantee that everyone is going to love her" my mom told him and gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze

i looked at her with a grateful smile, everything was a process, everyday was a new step forward but we were getting there.

Elliot froze when he saw her coming through the arrival gate , she was so petite and gorgeous with her flowing black hair , i knew where Elliot got his looks from

He went over and hugged her and grabbed her bags and i followed giving her a hug and introducing her to my mother , they both realized they were wearing the same shoes and were talking about their favourite clothes and shoes stores all the way home.

Everyone was there sort of a party , more of a family get together because that's what we were when i saw the warm welcome everyone gave to Maria and how happy she was at being reunited with her brother it was worth it. i felt i  pair of hands make its way around my waist and i smiled at the scene before me and thought back to all that we had accomplished.

I guess you could say I was addicted
