Chapter 19: Pool Fiasco

My eyes turned dark and my teeth got pointed. I grabbed the glass and chugged it quickly. I felt like I was at a feeding frenzy. But it felt good. I looked at Ryan hungrily. I shook my head and some of it cleared, this wasn't me, this was the shark me. I felt my eyes swirling both sides of me trying to take over.

I stood up and grasped the table forcefully trying to calm down. I ran away looking for a pool, I was itching to shift and I didn't want to beach myself. I put my nose in the air and sniffed out the pool. I ran to it and pushed open the doors and broke them off the hinges. I dived into the water shifting into a shark mid-jump. I swam around instantly feeling better.

After I was done being crazy I jumped out of the water onto the concrete. I shifted and turned back into me. I got up and walked back into the dining room. I saw Ryan still sitting there frozen."What...the hell...just happened...?" I laughed nervously and rubbed my hand on the back of my neck. "Um well sometimes I freak like that around blood, its okay though, I just got to control myself and you'll be fine. Don't worry." I smiled sheepishly and sat down to try to enjoy my breakfast.

I ate my breakfast but I felt Ryan staring holes through me. It was a little uncomfortable. I heard his chair scoot back and he walked over to me. "Would you like to join me for a swim?" I smiled and nodded my head reluctantly, I don't know if that's a good idea, who knows what I'll do or he will do. He ushered me to my room and then left to his room to change. I walked into my closet and found a nice black bikini. I changed and put on my sunscreen.

I grabbed a towel and flip flops and waited outside my room for Ryan. He came out as well and he walked to me to take my arm as we walked to the pool. I had to admit he looks good. He had on a pair of black swim trunks on. We walked to the pool and I set my towel down on a beach chair. I looked to Ryan seeing what he would do. He waved me over and jumped into the pool.  I smiled and walked into the pool using the stairs. I submerged myself and swam over to him. I popped up silently and said boo. 

He jumped and turned around. "Whoa! I didn't know you were that good at scaring people!" I laughed. He doesn't even know the half of it...

He splashed me and I splashed him back playfully. He went under and grabbed me putting me on his shoulders. I yelped and held on tightly. He jumped and let us fall back into the water. I screamed and went under the water. I decided to play a trick on him. I kept breathing but let myself float up to the surface on my stomach. I heard him rushing over to me. "Beca?!" I stayed still and he flipped me over. He held me and guided me to the edge of the pool carefully putting me on the ground and hopping out himself I think.

He held my face and listened for breathing. I held my breath and he took his ear off my chest. I resumed breathing without him noticing. "Beca? Beca please! Asher!!!" I heard footsteps running to me and stop next to me. "What did you do to her?!" I had to catch myself from snickering. "What should I do Asher?!" I heard his sigh and I think he got onto the ground. He checked my pulse and opened my lips. "Okay Beca come back to us..." I felt his breath get closer to me and his lips brushed mine. I felt an unknown spark and I jumped up, luckily Asher had pulled away quick enough.

I opened my eyes and touched my lips. I think I remember something but I can't put my finger on it. I felt the potion cloud my senses again making me look at Ryan with loving eyes. "Thank you two for saving me!" I grabbed Ryan's hand and he smiled proudly down at me. "You're welcome sweets." I hate that name. But the potion is making me like it.

Ryan helped me up and I grabbed a towel to dry off. I wrapped it around me and held Ryan's hand. "Why don't you have Asher here take you to your room until dinner?" I was forced to smile and took Asher's outstretched arm. He guided me to my room and opened the door for me. He shut the door and stood in front of me. "Did...Did you feel something? Please tell me you did. I know you did, don't you feel the sparks?" I backed up he was making me nervous. "I don't know what I felt but please, just leave me alone." I saw hurt flash through his eyes and he sadly left the room.

Asher P.O.V.

I stood in front of her. I had to know. "Did...did you feel something? Please tell me you did. I know you did, don't you feel the sparks?" She backed up to the door, now I weird her out. Dammit. "I don't know what I felt but please, just leave me alone." She felt something! But she doesn't even want to look at me now. I'm even father away from her now. I walked sadly out of the room and shut the door behind me. She is scared of me now, now what am I gonna do!

Ryan P.O.V.

I had the mutt walk her up to her room. That was close so close! If he had actually kissed her he would have broke the spell! I have to not let that happen again! Never again, I have to get her to really fall in love with me, or I could get her another dose of the potion? But the kiss would still break it, but its worth a shot! Beca, you will be mine!
