When I get back, I can barely move.

There are wounds covering my body, and my breath sounds like a chainsaw.

I’m so lucky Sasuke was in the living room.

He waved one of his hands in front of my face.

“Chishi?  Can you hear me?  Talk to me!”

GO!

He managed to lift me without opening the wounds more.

As he ran to the hospital, I could see Naruto and Sakura by the road.

Once they saw me, they started following Sasuke.

I could see the sky through the haze over my eyes.

When Sasuke starts talking to the medical people, I can’t hear quite what they’re saying.

It’s frustrating really.

I can feel the bed under me, I want to scream.

But my lungs are full of blood.

I want to cough.

But my throat can’t move.

I want to throw a fit.

But my limbs are strapped down.

I can blink.

So I do.

This is so humiliating.

In a past life, I beat the Nine-tailed Fox into submission.

Now, I can barely move.

“Chishi!  Stay awake, okay?”

I want to scream that I can’t fall asleep, that I can’t react to the blood loss.

But I couldn’t, so I glared.

They were sewing up my wounds.

Why they couldn’t heal me, I didn’t know.

But I felt every time the needle pierced my flesh.

And it hurt.

When they were done, my team was in my room.

“Chishi!  Say something!” Naruto shouted.

I can’t.

Nani?

My lungs are full of blood.

And you say this NOW?

Yes.

Chishi!  You should have said something sooner!

Don’t patronize me.  I can’t see.

What?

I can’t see.  You’re all blurs.

What about that eye thing you were talking about?

The blood.

How about a strait answer?

Maybe I can do that.

I push blood into my eyes.

It turns my iris red, with no pupils.

All I can see is the veins in my teammates’ bodies.
