(hey, you must be surprised!?!)

**

You know what surprises me?

Me.

I was sat at the corner of the room.

I had my hand rested in my palm as I stared outside the window, my own childlike reflection staring sinfully back at me.

I know my whole vision or whatever it was... wasn't real.

I was simply deluded.

But in moments like these, like whenever I found myself seeing everything around me, stuck in the past I couldn't help but think otherwise and want to share the news.

I'd have all four boys' sat on a sofa, or possibly on the stairs and I'd just grin at them chesirely and laugh. Disbelief clouding my features as I readied to tell them the story of their lives.

'Hey Liam, you know you get to meet the love of your life real soon, but then one day if you don't handle it right she's going to slip through your fingers as easily as she came and two of you are going to miss each other so much, but with our ever-growing fame you'll get over it even though some nights you still tell us if you could rewind time you'd do it over...different. You get your other kidney, which is a miracle because you simply had it all along. You'll get tattoos, to the point where people think their pointless like mine... little do they know'

Maybe this time he could.

'Zayn, pal you're going to buy your mum a house, and you're going to cry about it in front of millions of people when we release our documentary on us- then you'll buy your own house! You're going to paint the walls with your story and you're going to get hate from people who will never understand it... but you've met a beautiful girl, and she makes you happy... so happy that one day you're going to get engaged and you do it in the soppiest way. You'll have tattoos' trailing down your arm and you're even going to get one in tribute to her... that's how sure you were'

Maybe this time round I could suck up for best man.

'Niall, oh mate- you're ruling the world with that big heart of yours. You're the exact same lad you were the moment I met you' My eyes drifted around the room, that moment was right now- and if I closed my eyes... Niall was still the same to me... although his accent a little thicker. '-due to management and publicity you get braces, and you hate it... because you always got bits of food stuck in it-' I chuckled, '- but in the end it paid off because you have the best smile, you're going to be our fans' sunshines, you make them stronger and everyone loves you for you. You're secretly in love with our supporting act, a group of amazing lad's from Australia- and you always teased us you'd leave with them after we finished that leg of the tour.. but you stayed. You watched your brother get married, and you're an uncle and you're still the smartest out of the lot of us.. which isn't really a surprise. You continuously keep us grounded, plus, you're absolutely loaded and you have chest hair!'

I grinned to myself, picturing his ecstatic smile- before he had the braces and how he'd maybe bark out a laugh and swear at me for the statement of his hair growth.

'Louis' I paused, the creases in my brow evident as my reflection taunted me with a face I hadn't associated with my own in years. 'Louis, you're going to be happy but sometimes you're going to be sad, the media and paparazzi get you down but most of the time you'll be happy and it's great when you are. You'll learn how to cook, maybe a little bit near my level'  I shook my head disbelievingly at the thought, my curls flopping around. The urge to chop them taunted me again... I had no idea how I handled them before. '-sometimes when you're sad you get those tattoos' I get... sometimes we get them together. You'll get a girlfriend, she's beautiful- but unfortunately you don't see each other a lot... you're going to have another set of siblings to look after... and you'll love them so much every one else gets jealous. You're continously grateful to our fans who keep us from falling apart, and you've grown so much... except in height, you stay the same'
