Chapter 13

Zoës POV
I want to go to Alfie today but how am I going to do this? Evan hasn't gone to work yet. The kids are still in school. So I could say that I'm going to town.
"Evan?"
"Yeah hun?" Ugh I hated it when he called me nicknames, I don't like them anymore. I mean not when it's Evan.
"I'm going to town."
"When will you be back?"
"Probably tonight"
"Okay see you"
"Bye"

Evans POV
I don't trust this. I'm going to call George to ask if he wants to keep an eye on her. She doesn't even know him, so it won't be that hard.
"Hey George"
"Hey"
"Can you do me a favour"
"Depends"
"Can you spy Zoë for me?"
"Why what happened?"
"We were at the Gleam reunion. And her ex boyfriend was there. I didn't know about him, but he seemed like he was going to try everything to get her back. And now she's going to town like everyday. I don't trust her anymore."
"Is she already gone?"
"No, but she's going to in a few minutes."
"I'm coming right now"
"Make sure she doesn't see you"
"I will"

Alfies POV
I'm so excited! Zoë is coming again today!
After about half an hour I hear the doorbell. "Hey little one!"
"Hey gorgeous!"
"Come in! Do you want to drink something?"
"A sprite please"
"I'll be right back with your sprite. How are things going"
"Not that good actually. I don't know what to do anymore."
"Don't worry no one will know."
"I hope so."
Then I heard the doorbell.
"Alfie, who's that? They can't see me!"
"I think you'll have to hide. Hurry up!"
I opened the door and it was Marcus.
"Hey mate!"
"Hey, how you doing?"
"I'm good, come in!"

Zoës POV
Oh nooo, it's Marcus. He's coming in. I can't stay and hide in Alfies wardrobe. It's so hot in here. I hear someone coming. I open the door a bit. It's Alfie thank god.
"Alfie, I can't hide this long, it's so hot in here."
"I'll say I'm busy with editing videos to Marcus, he'll go hopefully"
"Okay, come back soon, I don't think I can stay in here any longer."
"I will."

Alfies POV
"Sorry Marcus, I think you'll have to go, I have to edit quite a few videos."
"That's okay mate. See you soon"
"Bye, see ya"

"Okay Zoë, you can come out now."
"Thank god, if I stayed any longer in there I'd be dead haha."
"Haha. Let's just order a pizza and watch a film. Which one do you want to watch?"
"Ehm, let's watch aladdin, that's my favourite disney film."
"Anything you want little one"

Zoës POV
After we watched the film and ate the pizza I really needed to go home.
"Alf, I really need to go now."
"Aww, I wish you could stay a bit longer."
"I can't. It'd be too obvious."
"Okay... but we'll see eachother soon okay?"
"We sure will"
"I love you"
"I love you too"

When I came home Evan was watching tv on the sofa.
"I thought you were going to town?"
"Yeah why?"
"You weren't in town"
"Yes I was"
"No you weren't, you were at Alfies"
And then he started hitting and kicking me. How did he know? He was going to work. Was it that obvious?
