As soon as school ended, I hurried out to my car and pulled out my phone. There was one text from Cameron that read "Don't come over today." That's pretty weird, I thought to myself. I was curious, so I took the long way home and drove past Cameron's house. Along with his car, and neither of his parent's cars, there was a car I recognized. It belonged to Ariel Johnson, a girl from school. Ariel and I had a past of disliking each other, and I couldn't believe she was at Cameron's house.

I kept driving and decided to call him. "Hey. Who's this?" He answered.

"Didn't you look before answering? It's Anna." Silence.

"Oh. Sorry Anna. Some plans came up."

"Right. So Ariel is plans now?" I questioned him. I felt like I had done something wrong.

He said something under his breath. "Listen, I'll talk to you later, okay?"

And with that, he hung up.

CAMERON'S POV

I couldn't believe this had happened. Not that she'd found out I ditched her for Ariel, but that I had done something like this to her in the first place. I called her. She didn't answer.

After awhile I got sick of the guilt and regret and drove to her house. Her car wasn't there, but her Dad's was. "Hello Mr. Mathews. Is Anna around?" I asked politely. Mr. Mathews was one of my favorite adults, somehow he had always had a way of making things better.

"No Cameron, but I bet you could find her at Marie's house." He replied kindly.

"Thanks, Mr. Mathews." I walked out to my car and drove home. Maybe I could talk to her tomorrow.

A/N heyyyy. This chapter may seem a little rushed, because I'm kind of ready to get to the exciting part. And that may have been a bit of a plot twist... There may also be more plot twists to come. Give this a vote if you liked it and I'll get the next chapter up soon.
