"If I told you what I am, you wouldn't believe me." He just looked at me, his hair hanging over his eyes and his smell whisking me away to wonderland. At that he stood straight and walked out of the room. What just happened? I went to get up, push myself off the bed, but a pain shot through my arm and I looked down to see the blood soaked bandages. I stared at the blood, and realized that it made me feel guilty and ashamed but also wanting more. "What is your problem sis? You always seem to get an injury whenever I'm not here?" "OMG! RYAN!" I jumped out of the bed and ran towards him. Before I could reach him, I fainted.

I awoke in my bed at home with three people staring at me. Robbie, Ryan, and Zach. "ummm, hi guys." I tried to push myself up but my wrist gave out. I squealed in pain. "Stay where you are sis. Please don't hurt yourself more." Ryan's eyes seemed to drown in guilt as he looked at me. Robbie's eyes seemed to be swimming in sorrow. As much as I could tell, he wanted to help, but didn't know how. Zach's eyes just looked lost in thought. I've seen that face before. He doesn't know if he should say something or not. Why is he even here?

"Why are you guys here? How did I get here?" I looked at each of them carefully. Ryan was here because he's my brother. Robbie probably cause he's my best friend. But why Zach? "I'm here because I love you so much. Even if that means failing all my classes because I'm spending all my time with you while you're in recovery." Robbie crouches next to my bed, grabs my hand, and kisses it. My face turned red and I giggled. Zach's face fell and he walked out, not even saying a word.

"Ryan go after him please." Ryan left after giving me a protective glance. "I have to pee. Can you help me to the bathroom?" I gave Robbie the biggest eyes.

"Sure thing." He wrapped his arm around my waist and grabs my hand, gently picking me up. We start walking towards the bathroom, his hand dropping towards my butt every step we take.

"Seriously? I'm injured and you're trying to get in my pants?" he looked at me and smirked, revealing sharp white fangs that appeared put of nowhere. Thankfully we reached my destination.

"Wait out here, I can use the toilet by myself." He wouldn't let go. "Come on. I really have to go. Let go." But his grip tightened. "I'm serious! Let me go!" he pulled me tight to his body and growled in my ear. No need to go to the bathroom anymore. Ryan appears with Zach trailing behind him.

As soon as the boys saw what was happening, they ripped Robbie off of me. Zach scooped me up in his arms and ran to my room, locking the door behind us. He grabbed me fresh clothes and told me to get dressed. As I was changing under my blankets he was packing a bags of my belongings. One by one he through bags of clothes out my window into my yard. This whole time he hasn't said anything. "You're going to live with me. Ryan is coming too." He wouldn't look at me.

What did I ever do to this kid? He left me. He cheated on me. I didn't do anything except love him. Why is he treating me like this? My thoughts got interrupted by the sound of my bedroom door being banged on. Zach walked over to the door and unlocked it. In comes Ry with fear and determination in his eyes.

"We got to go. NOW!" Ryan and Zach give each other a very mysterious look then at me. Ryan jumps climbs out of my window and into the tree next to my window. Zach picks me up and hands me to Ryan, following us into the tree. Zach scrambles down the tree and gets into his truck, bringing it to the tree. He throws all my stuff into the bed of his truck and motions to me. Ryan gently lowers me into Zach's arm and climbs down. We all got in the truck, the uncomfortably hot leather seats melting my exposed legs upon impact.

WHAM!! Suddenly the front door flies off the hinges and a howl echoes through the neighborhood. Out comes a very lanky teen boy with a wolf's head. Around the unbelievably vibrant green eyes were two dark gray patches of fur. The rest of his head seemed to ombre to white at his white fangs poked out of his snout. Weird. I thought werewolves were supposed to be bigger. Maybe it's not just that that's supposed to be bigger. I laughed to myself as Zach slammed the gas pedal through the floor.

"Did he hurt you sis?" Ryan observed at me while I was hysterically giggling at my previous thought.

"I wish" I mumbled as I looked at the passing houses, the colors mixing into one jumbled mess the more I thought about my past. The Elmersons' kids, playing hopscotch in their protected driveway, laughing at every mess up, made me think of me and Ry. As kids Ry always tried to protect me. My father wanted boys, but I ruined his fantasy. Due to that, I got abused.

Images of the dreaded closet door shutting on my scared 6 year old self brought tears to my eyes. I was to stay in there anywhere between 2 days or 2 weeks, depending on the trouble I caused. I was to not eat, drink, talk, or make any noise. Sit there in that closet not even big enough for a pair of shoes and stare into the abyss. Ryan would bring me food every night after father went to bed.

"Sis? You okay" before I could answer a single tear rolled down my face as I looked at the bandages on my wrist. Blood soaked again. I gave him the biggest eyes I could ever make then laid down, knowing I should try to rest.
