Tyler POV
"Bye Tyler. Seeya at the party." Evan called after me as we both left the school.
"Bye Evan. I'll see you later." I responded, walking the opposite way as him.
That was the first time he had talked to me that day. All of class and lunch he hadn't said a word to me. It was unnerving.
Was is something I said? I don't remember saying anything that would offend him. I hope he's not mad at me. He didn't seem mad when he said bye. I guess I'll see at the party.
I tired to put his weird behavior out of mind as I got into my car where my mother was waiting.
We went through the usual "how was your day" :"fine" before falling silent. I left the car and thanked her for driving me before going up the stairs to my room. I sat on my bed and picked out clothes for the party before playing some halo to pass the time. And pass the time it did, as sooner than I expected it was 5:30. Party time! I threw my clothes on and practically fell down the stairs. Yeah I'm a little excited. My mom started up the car and drove me over to the house spouting her usual spiel about "stay safe, don't do drugs, don't drink the punch bla bla bla".
"Bye mom, don't worry I'll be fine, see you when the party's over."I said, jumping out of the car and fast walking up the walk way.
From outside I could hear loud generic pop music booming through the speakers. I reached my hand up to knock but the door opened before my hand could connect with the wood. A teenager I didn't recognize beckoned me into the house and handed me a cup of punch. My mother's words were already out of my brain as I downed the weird smelling punch in one sip. I looked around the sea of dancing people for Evan, a seemingly impossible task as everyone's faces began to blend together in this fog of dancing bodies. Everything seemed to blur and I wondered for a second about the contents of the punch. My vision was spinning and turning and I struggled to stand. I began to feel severely over whemled, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see a familiar smiling face.
"Hey Tyler you looked a bit lost there." Evan said, pulling me away from the crowd.
I felt relieved as we sat down against the wall. For a few moments we watched the swarm of moving bodies, appearing from this angle as a one huge fluid being, undulating to the music.
"Did ya try the punch?" He asked, smiling.
"Yeah. It tasted funny. I think someone spiked it." I replied, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Yeah. Speaking of punch, I want some more. Spiked or not I can't get enough of that fruity taste." He said, slurring his words slightly.
I could tell he had had a few cups more than I had.
"Alright. Let's go get some." I said, standing and pulling him up.
We walked hand in hand to the food table so we wouldn't lose each other. Once there he poured us both a cup before falling down and rolling under the table. I laughed and followed him under holding the punch. He downed his and began inching his hand up my thigh as I drank mine. I was sitting with my legs out in front of me and he was laying down next to me, absentmindedly scooting his hand closer and closer to my...yeah.
"Hey um Evan do ya mind maybe not doing that?" I said, kinda flustered and a little turned on.
"What oh right. Sorry ty." He said, giggling drunkenly and laying his head on my legs.
