Chapter 4~

My mouth dropped open. "When did this happen?" I said worried as hell.

"Two months ago..." Spencer said.

"What did Adam do?" He was Adrianna’s boyfriend.

"I haven't seen him since the night of the incident, at Nate's summer party," Spencer said with a tone that I had never heard before.

"Do you think..." my voice trailed off.

“It was Nate? No, he'd never do something like that." she finished my sentence.

"Yeah...but you never know?" I said questioning myself as I told her.

“Never-mind Adriana, we should go. Alex is waiting in the car.”

We walked out of the airport. A cold breeze sent chills down my back. I saw Alex getting out of the car, and walking toward Spencer and me. His dirty blonde hair flowed back and forth in the wind. "Austin! Great to see you, man," Adam said leaning in for the "official bro hug”.

"Same here, it's been so long," I said

"Come on! It’s cold out here, let's get in the car," Alex said.

"Ok!" Spencer and I said in harmony.

"So how long has it been," I asked.

"A year and a half," Alex said looking at Spencer affectionately.

"Okay, let’s go. Where do you want me to drop you off?” Alex said.

"I'm staying at the Lighthouse Inn for a few days," I said.

We pulled up to Lighthouse Inn. It was around four in the morning so some light bled though the assorted clouds. We stopped at the entrance, and I got out, grabbed my bags, and thanked Spencer and Alex for the ride.

I turned around and saw a colossal iron gate with engravings on the sides. I looked around and saw a small intercom on the far left side. I pressed the small orange button.

"Uh, hello?" I said into the intercom.

"Can I help you?" a man from the staff said rudely.

"Um, I have a room. My name is Austin King." I waited but no answer. Suddenly the gates opened so I started walking on the cobblestone path. I got to the door and was about to knock, when a man opened it. His eyes were pure white. I screamed and stepped back. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground and everything started going black.

I jolted up and looked around. It was in small room, fit for one person; it reminded me of my cottage as a child. I put my hand on my head, no dent, but it hurt like hell. I looked on the nightstand, a small white post it note was on it. It read:  "Burn In Hell". After I read it, my window shattered...
