A lot of it was a blur. The last thing was loud sound of sirens, and red and blue lights blinded me. Emma was taken by the ambulance moments ago, leaving me there stranded. My eyes were bloodshot from all the tears. Chase came up from behind and hugged me, "It's okay, everything's going to be okay" he said in a kind voice. "I'm sorry did you not just see what happened" I shot back. "No, nothing's going to be okay. Emma was just poisoned and saying okay isn't going to help or change anything." I stormed out, not even looking back. "Austin!" Chase yelled. But I was already out the door.
After I ran away from the club I realized that, I have no clue where I am. Emma had driven us, and she had grew up in the city and knew this place like the back of her hand. I looked around, I was in an alley in the ghettoor some shady place. I was on my phone trying to find out where the hell I was, Ok I'm in Brookhaven I just have to take the subway to the airport and I'm home-free. "Hey you!" someone said behind me. "That's a nice iPhone you got there and is that watch gold?" the man said stepping a few steps closer. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. No Austin stay calm. You did track in college you can out run him. "Well actually I have somewhere to be so nice talking to you" I said nervously, and started walking away. Suddenly the man attacked me from behind. Instantly, I threw him forward. The man looked shocked, and start running. "Hey are you ok?" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around, it was Chase his blonde hair flowing in the wind. "I know what hospital they took Emma, come on all take you to her". He put his arm around me, and we started walking to his car.

I've always hated hospitals. The smell of disinfectants, death and disease all around me. I hated it. Chase had asked for the room number Emma was in ,"853" the nurse repeated. We started to walk to the elevators, "You're welcome" she said rudely. I shot at her a dirty look and she reciprocated. Bitch! I mumbled to myself and then I remembered, I also hated the staff at hospitals. Once the elevator went all the way up to the 8th and the doors opened, I got an eerie vibe. It was dark and vacant and half of the lights were flickering on the verge of dying out. I put my arm tighter around Chase's arm, fearing of what was lurking in the shadows.
After roaming for forever down the poorly lighten hallways we finally arrived at room 853. I opened the door to find a very conscious Emma siting-up with her ivy league posture, fresh makeup on, silently going on her phone like she wasn't poised about three hours ago. I wouldn't have expected anything less of her. "Hi Austin! How are you?" Emma said enthusiastically making eye gestures towards Chase. "I'm fine, but I wasn't the one poisoned and went into cardiac arrest" I said sarcastically. She giggled a little but was distracted when Chase put his arms around me. "It's getting late we should go home and let her rest, I'll grab the car" he said walking out of the room. "He's right we should probably go" I said grabbing my bag. "Love ya" she said as I hugged her.
As I was walking to the elevator suddenly the lights shut off. It was pitch black and all I could hear was a huge crash...
