Set back in the 1900's, Samuel Johnson is questioning his sexuality. There's no way that anyone would still love him if he was to tell anyone but how can you keep something like this a secret for your whole life, especially when you're already promised to a woman.

Sam thought that was the worst of his problems until his mum hires another helping hand on their home stead. Benton is anything but a gentleman, he's kind, compassionate and 100% honest. So what happens when Sam finds that he has feelings for this boy? 

Something's revealed one night, his whole world is in shatters as he's finding out more about the world he lives in. Things that only roam at night and live in the deepest shadows in every corner, watching, waiting. Benton's also hiding something behind that charming white smile and what Sam finds out can either make or break his entire world. Will Sam run from his fate, or look and fight?
