( Oh yes, some very triggering things happen in this chapter, there is death. I will tell you right now there is death, mutilation, and some other things maybe. TRIGGER WARNING TRIGGER WARNING. )

The storm had only gotten worse, and they'd been forced to move down to the basement for shelter, and Dan had done nothing but huddle against Phil for comfort. He wasn't easily frightened, but storms had always been a fear in his life. He knew it was stupid for a 25 year old man to be frightened of such a stupid thing, but he couldn't help. It was laced throughout his entire childhood.

"Dan. It's going to be okay, I promise."

And almost as if though on cue, the lights went out, and he let out a small scream, that cut off early as he caught himself before finishing. Hiding his face in Phil's torso he took deep breaths. It was only a silly storm, it would pass before to long and they would all be fine, right? Right. Wrong. Thunder loudly  overtook any comforting thoughts he had planted into his mind and had replanted fear.

"Phil, we're not gonna be okay, we're gonna die. This home is gonna collapse on us, we're all gone die tonight, and you know it."

Shouting at the other, angry tears rolled down his cheeks as he pushed away from him, something was going on inside of him that made him more angry then frightened now. Something about the way he'd promised they'd be okay, it reminded him of all the times his mum had promised him that they would be fine, before she'd left his sorry ass with his father. She'd straight up lied to his face.

"How can you say we're gonna be okay when something so violent is literally happening just outside these walls?! You must be crazy to think we're actually safe! We're sitting ducks down here. We might as well go out side and say ' hey mister storm, why don't you just slaughter us right here? it'll make to much of a mess downstairs ' hmm? Answer me that Philip!"

He was revved up now, and he didn't feel like he was going to calm down anytime soon. So many conflicting emotions and feelings inside of him didn't really help with the fact that he was scared out of his mind and all he wanted to do was be held by Phil, but at the same time he currently hated his guts for an unclear reason. Or at least, it was hazy and fuzzy, and hard to see altogether.

Ready to shout at him he opened his mouth, only to be stopped by the rumbling that threw him off balance and onto the ground. Something was happening. All anger vanished and fear overtook him, and he shook like an abandoned puppy, looking up slowly to see Phil begin to scream before something forcefully threw him about and he was knocked out.

The world was black, and quiet.

So, so quiet.

Opening his eyes he looked all around him to see nothing but chaos and debris. The storm was over, that much was clear, but he almost had no idea where he was, all the houses had been knocked down in some way or another, even if it was only a little bit. But he recognized a few thing , and he knew he was still on Felix's street. But one question remained most important out of a lot of them. How had he gotten outside? Where was Phil?

He froze as the thought crossed his mind. Were was Phil. WHERE WAS PHIL. He scampered in the direction of Felix's house and paused upon seeing the destruction the storm had caused. It was the worst hit house of them all, it made him think that they must've literally been dead in the middle of the path the storm had been creating. Running towards whatever was left of the house he began to shout and scream.

"PHIL! MARZIA! FELIX!"

"D - dan?"

He realized everything around him was so dead quiet, and he was grateful, for he had actually heard the quiet whisper. Panic caused him to gain a momentary lapse of energy and strength as he dug threw rubble, not caring how needy he seemed, he needed to find her. And after only a few moments he found her. She was all bloody and bruised and cut up, and he began to tear up. She was still so beautiful, but she obviously in a lot of pain, her legs trapped underneath a rather large amount of debris. And he realized she was stuck. She was pinned underneath the rubble.
