She sees him sitting on the steps. His head on his hands, shoulders sagging & weary. His aura just reeks of exhaustion and frustration. It was so not Alden Richards, whose smile lights up the whole room, to be like this.

Maine comes up behind him, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Babe, what's wrong?" , her voice soft and gentle.

Alden looks up, and sees her. He stares at her face , then glances at her hand on his shoulder. She crouches down, and hugs him from behind, pushing him gently down the step so she is right behind him.

A lot of thoughts are going through his mind : all the self doubt he has, how lucky he is to be in her life, her kind yet strong words of comfort when they hear new hanash on twitter or IG or whatever else these fault finding "fans" try to do to rip him into shreds (but are never successful anyway), what she does to make him feel so loved just by breathing and being near him - like this exact moment with her arms around him, and how she kisses away all his pain and rejection softly and gently : do not despair, I am here , and what she whispers when they lay side by side, her hands combing through his hair, you make me very happy ; I love you and only you.

"You don't need to tell me anything. Just know I will be here and I will never , ever let you go , and I will fight for you when you even think of letting go." Maine murmurs to his and peppers his jawline with soft kisses as she holds his face close to her.

"I love you" , as he captures her mouth, softly then passionately, as they both exhaust their air supply , breathless and happy to be in each others arms.

He looks down on her petite frame and smiles . This is why he forgets every little bad thing in the world. Because Alden realizes that whatever happens, she will always bring balance in his life.
