As I walked up to the porch of my house, I glanced sideways making sure no one was around.
I don't know if you call this a 'cliché-family-thing' but we hide a key under a fake rock. I picked the rock up, and used it to unlock the door.
"Mom? Dad?" I called out as I walked inside my house, but no one answered. I dropped my backpack in the living room and turned on the TV for some sound.
Fun fact about me, I hate silent places. I hate silent situations. I hate silence in general. I don't like even like the word silence.
That silent night song? I hate it.
I walked to kitchen hoping for a traditional note on the fridge, saying 'Hello my little sweet angel, we're out for tonight we will be back before 9 pm. Love you, mom and dad.'
Nope.
'Hey A, sup girl? what's good? Me and your father are on a date, we will be back before 12 pm, or maybe later... depending on our mood. Finna get lit fam!!! Love, yo mamma. P.S we left money for you to order pizza.'
"Not cool, mom, not cool." I murdered, but I still smiled at how hard my parents try to act cool.
Fast forwarding a bit, I finished my project because I did the hard stuff first then finish the easy stuff at home. You're welcome that was a school hack.
Then I order some food.
I got a thick large pepperoni pizza plus extra cheese, five garlic breads, 5 piece hot wings, large fries, and large coke. What can I say? A girl's gotta eat.
I relaxed on the couch with my snacks surrounding me like babies, and turned the TV's volume up. I opened the pizza box and admired my glorious cheesy pepperoni, thick, beautiful pizza.
I pick up a slice, "Come to mama" I seductively talked to my pizza.
Yes, I talk to my food.
Knock
"Are you kidding me," I said looking at the door.
Knock
"I'm not getting up, leaving your children alone is bad parenting," I said to myself but still thinking about it.
Knock
Finally I got up and rubbed my hands on my clothes to take off the grease from the pizza.
"Coming!" I grunted, then I looked at my pizza, "I will be back," I whispered to it. I opened the door to meet a warm blue eyed woman holding a pie, with her husband, and-
"Matt?" I blinked at him then at the woman, who was holding a pie that was looking very delicious, mind you.
As you can tell, I love food.
"You?" He said in a surprised-bothered tone, with a icy glare sparkling in his eyes. His mother elbowed him, then he quickly changed his attitude, "You," he said in a fake cheerful tone, but his icy glare was still sparkling.
The woman felt the tense atmosphere,
"You must've met at school," she said smiling, I smiled and nodded in response.
"Well I'm Abby Myers, this my husband" She pointed at him,"Chad Myers, and my son, Matt."
"Audrey Grey, like Meredith Gray from Gray's Anatomy-" I stopped myself before I would tell them the autobiography of Meredith Grey.
