Well, this is awkward.
The whole class suddenly turned their attention to me and gave me a disbelief stare, is there something on my face?
"They're staring at you because you just yelled 'oh my daddy'" Clara whispered in a harsh matter-of-factly. I opened my mouth to say something but couldn't figure what to say.
After a few more seconds, the class's attention turned back to the guy who 'ahem'ed' them (yes that's English). He was leaning on the door, backpack hanging off one shoulder with an uninterested expression on his face.
"Are you Mr. Peterson?" He asked in a dull tone
Mr. Peterson nodded, and got up from his desk towards him, "Let me see your schedule." Mr. Peterson ordered him, he gave him his schedule and turned his gaze to the class room. He seem as if he was dragged by both of his parents, his six cousins, and half of the neighborhood he lives in just to step one foot in school.
His bored eyes attacked each person he looked at, but stop mid-way as Mr. Peterson stop looking at the schedule.
"You can sit in the empty seat by Audrey," Mr. Peterson said as he handed him his schedule back, "Grey raise your hand."
I hesitantly raise my hand, his gaze finally turned to me and he seem unhappy as I am. First I called him 'daddy' and now he has to sit next to me.
He walked over and practically dropped down his backpack on floor and took out a his phone and earbuds.
"I'm Audrey," I smiled at him.
"Yeah, I think I established that" He sighed.
I chuckled awkwardly, "What's you're name?"
"Matt," He answered me in a dull tone.
"Nice," I said nodding, "Do have a last name-"
"Do you mind?" He hissed at me which made me jump out of my seat.
Well that was a great start, couldn't been worse.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" I murmured to myself hoping he didn't hear that or he might stab me with a pencil.
"I heard that," he said not looking at me but with a chuckle.
I smiled, "Mine's Grey, y'know like Meredith Grey-"
"I don't care." He cut me off.
I decided to stop talking to him since it got awkward, but I kept glancing at him. His hair was platinum blond, eyes deeper than the ocean, and a light tan. He had a muscular figure and a sharp jaw that looked like it can cut. He glanced at me then shot me glare, I quick looked the other way as if I was just looking around.
"Well class, I just finished grading all your papers," Mr. Peterson said taking off his glasses and setting on the desk, "they're terrible."
He got up from his desk and sat on the edge of his desk then held up a paper, "Except for one."
Clara straighten herself up, fixed her hair, and check her make up, she turned back to Lewis and I and winked at us.
"Wish me luck," she whispered.
"As if you need it," I whispered to Lewis making him Lewis snickered.
Mr. Peterson walked to the middle of the class, between Matt and I with paper still in hand, making Clara turned and look at me confused.
"Audrey, congratulations."
He said as he slammed the paper on my desk, making me jump in shock. I look at my paper thinking he probably just didn't read the name right, but it was my name. Audrey Grey. I got an A+, an A+.
