A/N Hello! Welcome to my first ever chapter of my new story 'The Misfits.' I'm apologizing early because these chapters might not be as long as others on Wattpad. Hope you enjoy this book. Thanks and goodbye! :) Picture above is the first cover ^^^^^^

Chapter 1- Katy Hayes POV

2 weeks, 2 stupid weeks in London, England. Why does my dad move all the time? Because his job is meant for someone with money, no kids, someone who wants to live a lonely life. His job was fine and dandy till he met mom, they got married had me, then it got bad. I don't think I gave had Thanksgiving even twice in the same country. Sure it was fun when I was little, got to see the world, but when school came I practically never tried. I mean I would always move again.

2 weeks, this was the shortest time in one place, other than vacations. 2 weeks after flying into London, 5 days before my first day of school, Dad got a call.

"Martin?" My dad's boss asked. "Yes," my dad had said. "We need you in Albroke, Minnesota," his boss said. Well that's at least how Dad explained. Another "promotion." Well now we are packed up and at the London airport ready to fly to Albroke, freezing Albroke, Minnesota. I've lived in Minnesota one time before, in Whitewood, it was far up North. Cold as heck, and everyone wore fur coats. The one thing I know is that Minnesota is cold.

"Come on, Katy," Mom says in her 'Everything-is-OK' voice. "It will be fun," my mom says this everytime we get on a plane. When we went to Japan, India, California, Canada, Maine, London, Scotland. Everytime. When she says those four words it makes me sick to my stomach.

Hours upon hours later my dad pulls the tiny little car into a driveway, our new house. It's on a small street and has a old cottage feel, not many people are out, probably because its late, and its very quiet. "Grab your bags and find your room," Dad says with a smile on his face.

"Where is this wonderful room I've heard so much about?" I ask my dad sarcastically. The darkness of the night makes me feel tired. I just want to curl up in bed and sleep.

"The second biggest room its upstairs, find the biggest one upstairs," my mom seems agitated, or maybe its just exhaustion. Particularly the latter.

I grab my bags and open the door, it smells musty. Albroke is one of those old timey towns, one of the towns that keep the old houses. Fans are set all along the house, there it is: A small house with one bathroom, a small kitchen, a weird looking living room and a creaky looking basement. Lucky for me my parents sleep in the creaky, creepy, possibly haunted basement. I head upstairs. There are two rooms, a small room that will be my moms workspace, and a larger one that belongs to me.

I walk in and throw my bags down, 3 days till school and I will spend everyone of those days unpacking, like always. I take out my sleeping bag and pillow and fall asleep. Six hours till seven o'clock.

Chapter 1- Melina Shantel POV

Nine o'clock, 3 days till school. Ah, school, the worst place ever. Sure I like learning, but the people are the worst. I'm in 11th grade now and I still haven't told anyone that I have a rare brain disease. I bet if I did I would be treated differently.

I slept in because a stupid truck woke me up at six in the morning. There has been a house for sale across the street from my house, its been empty for most of summer. I look out the window and see a moving van! Yes finally. I hope they have a teenage girl my age. Everyone on this street is either old or babies.
