I sat at the kitchen table with Brendon trying to explain what happened. But I couldn't push away the feelings I got when Colton kissed me. I felt sparks and couldn't help but remember the tingle on my lips when he pulled away and the cold the consumed me.
I really wanted to love Brendon I really did. He was such a great guy and he was there for me when other people weren't. That's why I think we need to just stay friends. Sure the feelings were there when we first started dating and ill always have feelings for him but I'm just not that girl who fell head over heels in love with him. As I finished explaining he took in a deep breath and let it go.
"Jayden," Brendon said looking at the table and playing with his hands.
"Brendon, don't. We are drifting and we
both know it. You have your band and honestly I don't have any thing planed but touring with bands I happen to become friends with and a few movies here and there. Don't let me stand in your way of living your dreams any more than I have. I'll always love you but as a friend or a brother. Go find that girl out there who is perfect for you because that girl isn't me" I stood up and kissed his cheek, opening his hand and gently placing the engagement ring inside and closing his fingers.
"Friends" I sighed and started walking out.
"Jayden wait" Brendon said standing up and walking over to me and hugging me.
"Thank you" he said and kissed the top of my head then resting his chin there.
"For what?" I mumbled into his chest.
"For being there when no one else was and believing in me and my little dream of being in a band. Without you I wouldn't be here today. So thank you." he said. I pulled out of his embrace and looked at him.
"Brendon, we might be breaking up but you and I are practically the only exception of people breaking up and saying they can still be friends because you and I have a history. I expect tickets and backstage passes to all your concert got it." I asked.
"Got it" he laughed pulling me back into a hug.
"Ill see you around Urie" I said walking out the door.
"See you Jay" he said and closed the door. I pulled out my cell phone and called the all to familiar number.
"Hey Colton uh we need to talk"
