Okay, so I have been getting questions from some of my friends about the relationship between Barty Jr. and Cass. So, I though I'd clear this all up, in case any of you were wondering. I broke cannon just a bit, but Barty Sr. and his wife divorced after they had Barty. Barty Sr. went off and married Cass's mom, and had Cass. One year later, Barty Jr. went to Azkaban, and the whole scenario with Barty Sr.'s ex-wife happened. When Cass was 5, her parents divorced, and she was raised by her father. :) Mainly cause I'm sick of seeing all those "I'm an orphan and my parents died and wah wah wah" stories. Oh, ad the pic above is EXACTLY how I imagine Cass looking like. (Emily Browning <3)
Okay, now onto the story:
More Observations of Moody:
- He knows things about me that I thought only I knew (e.g. hating my father, the reason behind my fear of fire, my half-brother, etc.)
- He was watching me instead of Cedric during the first task. Out of all the students in the school, he was watching ME.
- He obviously doesn't hate me like he hates almost everyone. Proof: He brought me out of the stands because he thought I would freak out.
- He won't answer any of my questions. Those are the notes I have added sense the First Task. It's been about 2-3 weeks sense then, and I still have no idea what's going on. Either I'm being really dumb, or this is impossible to figure out without more information.
Probably the second option. I am a Ravenclaw after all.
Well, I sure don't act like it. I have been skipping half of my classes every day just to stare at my Moody observations without ever actually coming to a conclusion.
Which is why I'm just lying on my bed instead of attending Transfiguration.
Hey, who cares about Transfiguration anyways?
***
"Oi Rose!" An annoyingly familiar voice yells at me from the other side of the hall as I make my way out of Defense Against the Dark Arts. That's the only class I have actually attended today. The rest I pushed aside to make more room for Moody-thinking.
I did attend a couple other classes yesterday though, and have been getting Ts on almost all my homework. I didn't even know you could get Ts! Apparently, they stand for Troll!
"Yes Weasley?" I turn around and face the annoying redhead. George opens his mouth to speak, but before he can do so, I feel a hand rest on my shoulder. I jump up in shock as George yelps.
"Crouch!" Growls an all-too familiar voice. "Meet me in my office once you're done." Moody demands. I push his huge hand off of my tiny shoulder, and stare back up at George, who is eyeing me with suspicion.
"What is it with you and Moody?" He asks once Moody is out of earshot. "He's like, obsessed with you."
I shrug and glance at Moody to make sure he won't be able to hear. "George, this is Moody. It's normal."
"Rose," He begins, his head tilted down so he can look my in the eyes. "I don't know what you consider normal, but a teacher with an obsession with one of their students is not normal."
Even George knows something is up! So this is real. I'm not going mad.
"So, Rose, as I was saying, would you, wait, this isn't a question, this is a order." He starts to mumble stuff under his breath, his shaggy red hair falling in front of his face.
I groan. "Just get on with it George!" Crap....I just called him George....what's wrong with me? He will remain Weaslbee! Good thing he doesn't seem to have noticed.
"Okay, first order of business, you're coming to the Yule ball with me, and if you refuse, Fred, Lee and I will gladly stink-bomb your common room. And second, you and I need to hang out more. I've barley seen you at all sense-"
I cut off his demands. "Whoa whoa whoa, back up a bit! What's this 'Yule Ball' your talking about?"
George gives me a curious look. "The Yule Ball. Mcgonagall announced it today." I raise my eyebrow. Maybe I shouldn't have skipped transfiguration....."It's a ball."
"Well, obviously." I mumble under my breath.
He continues, "And you're coming with me."
That's when I burst out laughing. Everyone else in the hall stares, but I don't care. He actually thinks I would go to this ball with a blood-traitor?! Idiot. "Where did you get that from, Weasley?"
"Do you expect anyone else is going to ask you?" George asks seriously, a tone unusual for his normal jokey persona.
"Yeah. Everyone loves me." I reply.
He looks around. "It sure looks like everyone loves you. See, boys are just queuing up to ask you." He snorts sarcastically as two mudblood 5th years who are walking move to the other side of the hall once they caught sight of me.
I cross my arms and glare at him, but let him continue on with him speech. "Sadly Rose, I think I'm the only student at Hogwarts that doesn't mind your stuck up personality. So, it's me or no one."
"I'm not stuck up!" I insist, annoyed.
This time it is George who starts laughing. "No, not at all! The way you call people mudbloods and blood-traitors is soooooo humble." His voice changes to a very high pitched voice that is suppose to be mine, by the sound of it. "Everyone loves me! I'm not stuck up!" He mocks. "So, is that a yes or do I have to use the imperious curse on you?"
Sighing, I mentally compare my options:
I could go with George, or I could refuse his offer, but I might not get asked by anyone else.
Swearing under my breath, I mumble my response. "I am really going to regret this, aren't I?"
