Mitch's PoV-

It's been a couple of months since Jerome and I have escaped this horrible thing called 'society', and even though we literally live in that old cave the middle of no where, life's been good. Perfect, if anything.

We haven't seen the baccas, or humans. It made the both of us feel a little bit lonely, but we soon adjusted to it.

But the only down side (as of right now) is,

it is extremely hot.

Oh how I miss the fans back at home.

And it's not even just "What a bright and sunny day!" hot.

It's like, "Oh my god I will eat a block of ice if I have to" type of hot. The god tier of hot. It's as if the sun had come up to the wonderful cube called Earth and literally decided it was cuddle time. The day is literally hotter than Jerome, and he is hot.

Actually, nothing is hotter than Jerome. Not even me.

"Holy Notch," I sighed, and then I kicked off the blankets off from the bed because wow screw you blankets. You're grounded. Sit there on the floor and think about what you've done. Bad blankets, bad. "It's still hot!" I groaned because holy pigs in a bottle it is the hottest day ever.

And where the heck's Jerome? He should be back by now! I thought worriedly. Earlier today, Jerome said he was gonna go and hunt some cows or something (I was still half asleep when he told me so, oops), and it's almost noon now. Bacca, you're such a baka!

"Hnnngh!" I have no idea what came out of my mouth. It's not even human anymore. That's it. The heat has killed me. Or at least, my already messed up brain. Notch if you are there, please please please make it colder soon.

"That's it!" I nearly screamed. I sat up, finally feeling like two hours lying on the bed is enough. I stood up and changed my pajama pants with the shorts Jerome and I made a couple of weeks ago. "Ahh, that feels so much better." I sighed happily, feeling the slight breeze on my ankles. It's still hot, but a man like me can take it.

Then my brain finally turned itself on and thought, go outside Mitch! Sit under the shade! Feel the wind and tell Jerome that you're flying, Jack! You're flying!

I decided to actually listen to my weird brain and walked outside the cave, and it is so worth walking because oh my Notch the breeze is heaven to my sweaty body.

...Ew...

I leaned back on a tree and sighed, the temperature outside is just right, albeit a little bit hotter than what I was expecting. Either way, it was way cooler than inside the cave.

Finally I don't feel like a boiled egg.

"Mitch!" A distant voice yelled, and I opened my eyes (when did I close 'em?), turning to where the voice came from and is that a bac-

"Jerome!" I yelled back, running to him. When I was close enough to him I hugged him. Well, tackled him, but... yeah.

"Where were you? I was so worried! What were you doing?!" I asked worriedly, the questions just coming out of my mouth like eggs come out of chickens.

Once again, ew.

"I was out." He chuckled and I sighed.

"Wow. The details are amazing. I loved that really detailed part of the story." I joked around and he laughed. "No but seriously where in the name of Notch's pants were you?" I asked seriously, and I think I shocked him with my sudden mood change.
