Something soft trickles down my cheek slowly, full of anticipation. Eventually it drains into my mouth and the saltiness gives it away.
Tears.
I feel a strong pain in my neck so I blink my eyes open carefully. A full room comes into view, with glass stained windows, a white bed and a mirror across the room. The walls are made out of wooden logs and too soon does a chill creep up my spine. I am in a cabin.
Without incentive, I scrabble to my feet and grab a blanket to hug my body. The temperature in the room has got to be below 30.
Where am I?
I close my eyes for a moment, trying to remember how I got here. I remember the coffee shop and running. Yes, I ran to Niall because he was the only one I felt I could reach out to.
How could he have taken me here without my knowing?
Curiosity and partly dander rushes through my body so I slip some socks on laying on the dresser next to me and march over to the door. For the slightest second, I fear that it may be locked. I fear that I am enclosed in this tiny room, alone.
That I am a prisoner, once again, but this time, alone.
Taking a quick breath, I lay my hand on the knob and twist it. The door opens with ease. It creaks until it's all the way open, exposing a large living room. Large is an understatement. The room I am looking at looks like it could fill at least three hotel suites within it.
Ellie would love it.
Slowly taking each step, I find it is impossible to be quiet when the floor is wooden and creaks with each breath I take. I don't even understand why I feel I need to be quiet.
I couldn't have gotten here sleep walking.
Before I have any more chances to try and regain my memory, a voice, one I hadn't expected, startles me.
"Charlotte." Harry says. I turn around with wide eyes and stare at him.
It takes me less than two seconds as I look into his forest eyes before I know. Before I remember.
I take a step back from Harry, who's across the room. Then I take another. My heart is beating like it's not my own and I feel edgy.
He read me a poem of his.
He kissed me.
I kissed him.
And then...
"What did you do?" I whisper, horror in my voice filling the air filled spaces between the walls.
Harry sets down the firewood in his hands and removes his gloves. He avoids my eyes as he steps closer to me, cautiously.
I step back once again.
"What did you do, Harry?" I say, my voice finally steady.
"It was the only way Charlie." He speaks, his eyes finally leveling with my own.
"I said, what did you fucking do!" this time I yell. I can tell he doesn't expect my anger because his face motions back as if I have hit him.
"I gave you a drug called Mopistollia. It knocked you out and I took you with me, to here."
"You drugged me?" I say, appalled.
His silence is the only answer he gives me. "How! How did you drug me? Why? I was fine, I was with Niall."
"No, you were alone because he left you. He doesn't care about you like I do Charlie."
"You kidnapped me!" I scream, the blanket falling from my body. I wear pajamas that aren't my own and the thought of them being Julia's turns my blood cold.
