The loud rang of the first period bell echoed throughout the school. Everyone started to rush inside the building as a certain honey girl stood in place.

Serena threw a glance behind her at the school gates, expecting someone to dash in at the last moment. Instead, she was greeted with the two school guards hurrying her to go inside. Taking one last glance, the honey blonde spun around and walked in the school.

"I guess there's no Ash Ketchum today, either."

It's been two weeks since they went to eat with Ash's mom, and ever since then, Ash has stopped going to school.

"Aww! Ash isn't here today either, what a shame!" A girl pouted to her friend as they walked past Serena.

"I know right?! I was going to give him my homemade bento," the other whined.

Serena shook her head in disapproval.

She's been doing some snooping around for information about the raven haired boy, but nobody seemed to know anything about him or his family.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Gary sprinting his way to school, barely making it past the gates. Then suddenly it struck her. Wasn't Gary Oak a good friend of his? It's possible that he might know something that the others don't.

"Hey Gary!" She called out loud enough for the boy to hear her. The mahogany haired boy jogged to her spot.

"Sup blondie?" He waved at her with a grin. He expected her to react to the blondie part, but Serena only looked at her with a straight face.

"I had something to ask you," she stated.

"Oh? What would the top student want to do with me?" Gary looked intrigued as he waited for her to continue.

Serena took a deep breath. She looked around her, check for if anyone was listening. She didn't want them to get the wrong idea about her and Ash. When the coast was clear she turned back to Gary.

"Do you know what happened to Ash Ketchum?" She whispered in the lowest voice possible.

"Huh, Ashy Boy? Yeah I do," Gary replied bluntly. "Why?"

Serena stared at him, dumbfounded. Why did she spend weeks trying to get information on the raven haired boy when she could've just asked him.

"Tell me what happened," she simply said.

"That's fine but..." Gary smirked, "I don't do unprofitable bargains. I have one condition."

Serena nodded. It looked like Gary isn't the dumb type either. She raised an eyebrow. "And that is...?"

"HEYYY SERENA!" Dawn suddenly jumped between them, a bubbly lively atmosphere surrounding her.

The honey blonde saw Gary stiffen from the corner of her eye.

"Good morning Dawn," Serena smiled slightly. Dawn grinned at her.

"Why are you out here? Class is gonna start soon," the blue haired girl placed her hands on her hips, mimicking the teachers.

"I'm coming," Serena giggled, "I was just talking about something with Gary."

Dawn turned to the mahogany haired boy, who was nervously ruffling his hair. She gave him a bright smile.

"Hey Gary! How are ya?"
