Everything was muted.

The water pushed down on her from all sides. The more she struggled the more disorentatied she got.

They say when you die, your life flashes before you.

Serena pushed with her arms and legs but she couldn't get her head above the water, for all she knew she was being pushed further down. Her arm was still aching from when Miette kicked her, which made it even harder.

Eventuall, she gave into the darkness and let the water take her.

She could see all the event and milestones throughout her life flashing past her like she's zooming through a tunnel. The first ever step she took, first day at school, getting perfect on her tests, getting confessed, going to high school, but the one that stuck out the most to her was...

Him.

The water shook and Ash emerged from the surface from Serena in his arms.

Dawn and Shauna immediately helped him pull her out of the water. After Serena's been put into recovery mode, Dawn leaned over to check her breathing.

"I can't feel her pulse," she said, almost in a whisper. She covered her mouth with her hands to prevent herself from sobbing. "This can't be happening..."

"No. She'll be okay," Ash placed a hand in her shoulder.

The blue haired girl could feel the sternness in his hand. She had never seen him so serious before. Ash walked over to the unconscious Serena. He kneeled beside her and leaned forward.

Then pressed his lips onto hers.

Light illuminated her vision the very second Serena opened her eyes. She adjusted her eyes to her surroundings and realized she was in a hospital.

"I'm... Not dead?" She looked around her and sat up just at the same time as a certain blue haired girl walked into the hospital room.

The moment they made eye contact, Dawn dropped the flowers she was holding and threw herself on to the honey haired girl.

"Serena! You're awake!" She cried with joy, "I'm so glad you're okay."

"Yeah, me too," Serena managed a smile after pulling away from the hug. "I remember being pulled to the school rooftop by Miette, what happened after that?"

Dawn started to tell her everything, from when Miette pushed her into the pool to when she was saved by Ash.

"Ash was the one that saves you with CPR," the blue haired girl stated with a smug grin.

"Yes, you mentioned that more than five times during your explanation." Serena sweat dropped.

She placed her finger on her lip and blushed. Despite it being a CPR action, it was still her first kiss.

But come to think of it, now she's been saved twice by Ash Ketchum. Serena buried her face in her hands. After all she said, she got saved by him again.
