One day in Elementary School, you were running. Running away from your friends as you all played tag. But, then you tripped over a hill that was rocky and rough. Scabbing your knees and elbows, you also hit both your eyes, causing you to go blind in both eyes. It was painful and you went to the hospital for about a week with bandages over your eyes.

When your parents took off the bandages, you were still met with the black vision that you had for now your entire life. You were completely confused on why your parents gasped as the sight of your eyes. They said it was still somewhat your eye color, but the color of gray took up most of your eye color, eating most of it away of your shining eyes.

Yet, even if you only saw blackness, you could still know your way around new or old places. You didn't need an animal to help you through your pain, because you already helped yourself. So did your parents. They helped you a lot through your suffering of not seeing anything. You knew someone who was blind, and now you know how it feels. You were homeschooled until you were going to high school. The start of high school anyways. With a lot of pleading, you eventually got your mom to allow you to go to the closest school there was; Phoenix Drop High. It was only a few minutes away from your home, which was lucky for you since you were blind.

Hopefully you would get some friends, even if you can't see them...

Your footsteps, the cars, and people chatting was all you could hear. You were finally at school and you could sense that there were tons of people around you, bunched up in groups of their own. But then, you felt one lonely person's presence. It was a female. Hearing her voice, you started to slowly, and cautiously, walk towards her with your hands against the wall. "Hello." You greeted. The girl turned to you. "O-Oh um... H-Hello." She replied back, shy. "I'm Y/N. Who are you? You seemed lonely." You said, smiling at her. "Oh! Um.. I'm Aphmau. I-It's nice to meet you, Y/N." She said, handing out her hand to shake. You didn't know what she was doing until she said, "Wanna shake?" "Oh, yeah, sorry." You held out your hand and missed hers, making Aphmau look at your eyes. "Oh! Y-You're blind.." "... Yeah, I am. Sorry." "What are you saying sorry for?" "For not being able to shake your hand." Aphmau giggled. "It doesn't matter if you can or can't shake my hand!" She said. It looked like she was getting out of her shy shell already. You smiled. "Yeah... Are we... Friends?" She nods. "Sure, friend!" "How about..." "Not Alone Buddy?" You smiled. "Sure." "And I could help you get to classes." Aphmau offered. "That would be nice." "Alright... At least I have someone to talk to today. To be honest, I thought this day would be a terrib-" She was interrupted by her phone making a 'Ding!' noise. 'Oh, that must to FC.. Well, I can chat with them later..' Aphmau thought. "Um, that was my friend. Sorry about that." "Oh, you can answer them if you want. I don't mind." You said. "Oh, um... Alright, thank you." "You don't need to thank me, I don't even know what I did for you to say that."

Looking at her phone, Aphmau begin to text back to FC as you leaned against the wall with your hands against it, making sure that you would never fall back down to the ground once again.

"Alright, wanna take my arm?" Aphmau asked you. You shook your head. "I can manage." "Okay then, but if you need help, you can just say. So... What classes are you in?" "Well.... I don't really know, but I do have my schedule... Can you please read it to me?... I can't read it." "Yea!" "Here you go." You handed her the piece of inked paper. "Alright... You first have homeroom as all of us. Hey! You're with me." "Oh, that's good." "Next you have gym." "Oh..." "Then you have Science next... Then art, which I also have, math, and then ELA last." "Okay then, thank you for telling me, Aphmau." "No problem! Come on, let's go to homeroom." "Yeah.." Walking behind her, you felt eyes pierce into your soul. You turned around, but couldn't sense anyone. Maybe you're just paranoid since you're blind and haven't told the principle yet. Even though your mom thought you did. You didn't want any help for your mistake of tripping, it was all your own problem that you needed to take care of yourself. "S-So.... Um, what school did you go to in middle?" "Oh, I was homeschooled. You?" "I was homeschooled too!" She said, smiling. "Oh well, both of us have something in common then..." "U-Um... Well.... S-Shoot.." She mumbled some words. "Is something wrong Aphmau?" You asked, "You seem worried." "W-Well, we're... Lost. I'm sorry!" You chuckled. "It's fine. At least we both have each other. What room is it?" "Room 202..." "Well, come on. I might know where it is." "Oh.. Alright." You started to lead her, not sensing anyone in the halls. You heard someone fall onto their knees. You assumed it was Aphmau. "Aphmau? Did you fall?" You asked, turning around. You sensed her on the ground. "Aphmau?? Aphmau?" She didn't reply. Going on your knees, you touched her forehead. A fever. She had a deep fever. Great... Where can she go get help if she's blind? Where's the nurse's office? Where's the principle's office? You didn't know, because you were freaking blind. The least you can do is carry her around. Putting her in your arms, you got onto your feet and started to walk. You can't sense anyone, the walls, only your footsteps. With someone in your arms, you couldn't sense anyone. You bumped into a couch, making you drop Aphmau on the couch and you fell on your butt. Ouch. Rubbing your probably bruised legs, you got up again. You heard voices. "Why did she just walk into a couch? Stupid girl." A boy's voice said. Shut up. "First question, I wonder why she was carrying a girl." Another boy's voice. Shut up. "Ha, maybe she knocked her out and was trying to stupidly kidnap her." A female's voice said. Shut up...!
