Simon's pov
I was sitting in JJ's room while he mucked around on the computer; we were talking about random things that were annoying us in life. Usually I would do this with Josh, but he's out with Freya, who happens to be his soulmate. I always thought Josh was lucky, having found his soulmate early in life. A lot of people don't really bother with the whole soulmate thing, they will get the occasional doodle on their arm that appears out of no where, but they never do anything about it, choosing to pick who they spend their lives with. Personally, I'm somewhere in the middle. More recently, I have been grabbing pens and debating on wether or not I should write down my address on my arm so the other person will see it and come find me, or at least write back. I always chicken out.
I assume my soulmate is the same way, or maybe they just don't care, because the only thing that has ever appeared on my body without me putting it there was a terribly drawn star.
"Are you looking for your soulmate," I decide to ask JJ, since my brain had brought me to the topic.
JJ doesn't look away from the computer. He just shrugs and gives a quick no. I decide to press him further, we're friends, I should know.
"Why not? Aren't you curious?"
This time, JJ swivels his chair so he is facing me.
"I just find it pointless, I want to decide who I love, not leave it up to fate or whatever people are calling it these days. But if you want to try and find yours, go for it mate, I'll back you no matter what."
I just look at JJ and nod. Getting up, I grab a pen from JJ's desk and write hello. It's as far as I'm willing to go. I then say bye to JJ and head upstairs to get some work done.
I don't get a response back to my weird wrist text... Yeah, I'm going to call it a wrist text... Until three hours later, when a small hey is scribbled across my skin.
Excited but also nervous, I reply back.
This is weird.
More words quickly appear on my skin.
I didn't know if you wanted to find me.
That sentence made me a little sad. Of course I would want to find the person that my souls was apparently connected too, I guess I was afraid that they didn't want to find me.
I was about to write back when Josh called me downstairs to ask, more like tell, me to do a video with him and Vik. I agreed and had all but forgotten about my conversation with my soulmate until I noticed Vik messing with the left sleeve of his sweater. I glanced over to see if I could figure out what was bothering him, and to my surprise, I saw scribbles of conversation. I tried to focus on acting normal and finishing Josh's video, but what if's ran through my mind.
After the video, I followed Vik up to his room, he surprisingly didn't notice me until he tried to shut the door behind him and saw me. He looked at me oddly. I pushed Vik into his room and followed after, closing the door behind us.
"Show me your left arm Vik."
Vik still had a puzzled look on his face as he refused to show me.
I tried to look intimidating by squinting my eyes at him, but I'm sure I just looked odd because he started laughing at me. I took this opportunity of him being distracted to grab his left arm and roll up his sweater sleeve. There, on his wrist, was the exact conversation on my wrist.
Vik ripped his arm away from me saying something about privacy, but he shut up at soon at I rolled my left sweater sleeve up and showed him my arm.
"Y-you, I... What?"
I cupped Vik's face and brought it to mine, our lips close. I could feel his breath run over my face as he closed his eyes and leaned in a little. I followed his lead, and soon we were standing in Vik's room making out softly. I was the first to pull away from the kiss, I wanted to make sure Vik was ok with it. I watched his eyes flutter open and a smile graced his face. He gave an airy laugh, leaning in again and saying,
"This is weird."
He then kissed me again, gentle and slow, everything I wanted. He was everything I wanted.

Why is this so bad?!
The media just describes the soulmate thing a little better than I did in the story
