Magnus rolled over tiredly slinging his arm around the smaller form in front of him, pulling him close against him. He knew Alec would be getting up soon, and going on with his day as usual, however he wasn't too fond of releasing him to the world again. The young man turned and looked back at the warlock, hair messy and in his face, eyes half opened.
"morning.." he muttered twisting to snuggle into Magnus' chest.
"Good morning." Magnus replied his heart skipping a beat as Alec slung a leg over Magnus' hips. It was a messy tangled sort of cuddling, and Magnus was indeed a fan.
He ran a caramel hand through Alec's hair, wrapping his free arm tightly around his tone body. He was surprised that, for once, Alec opted to simply stay in bed.
And that is what they did, all morning.... hours ticking on. Alec's ear laying just over Magnus' heart. Alec's breathing slow and steady.

Sheets twisted around their waists entwining them together. They made small conversation every now and again, but for the most part- they laid together in silence and just enjoyed being close. It wasn't so often that they got to do this, after all.

Come to think of it, this was the first time they ever did this.

Magnus had flipped onto his back now, with Alec laying on his side, head snuggled in the crook of Magnus' arm. Alec's arm slung across Magnus' hips, a leg laid lazily over one of Magnus'.

"Magnus?" Alec broke the silence, his tone was quite direct, but at the same time had a sweet purr. As if he had just said a word that meant everything to him. It gave Magnus goosebumps.
He looked down to meet Alec's gaze. "Yes?"
Alec sat up, his body leaning above Magnus', eyes shocking as their vision connected. "I want you." I whispered sitting himself up on the warlock. "I want us to become -one..." The words rolling off his tongue with silken elegance.... Magnus froze, heart pounding heavily in his chest, he wanted this... no. He needed this... He leaned up to kiss the Shadowhunter.

Magnus sat bolt upright at the sound of his cellphone blaring, nearly falling out of bed. The Chairman mewed at him in protest as he was knocked from his usual spot across the warlock's face.
"A dream?" he whispered petting chairman. "How very cruel..." he remarked with a scowl. Of course it was a dream. He should have known better. Alec was not so forward, and he would not have asked with such confidence.
No. The Alec that really existed was much quieter- much more restrained. Magnus slipped out of bed scratching his head and walking into the kitchen. Alec wasn't even here this morning, how disappointing. Each time it seemed that he got closer and closer to being with Alec, at least in his dreams. The prospect of having sex with the Shadowhunter both excited and terrified Magnus. He wanted it more than anything, but perhaps...

Perhaps Alec wouldn't like it? Perhaps it'd complicate the relationship? Alec obviously had never done anything with another- on that level. And it's true – that sex complicates and changes.

It was now, while pouring his coffee that he realized... He never answered his phone. He could hear it going off again in the bedroom, he ran back hoping it was Alec. They needed time together- they needed to not have a care or worry in the world for a whole day.
He grabbed it, not even looking at the name and holding it to his ear, sure that it had to be Alec.
"Hello?"
"Magnus! Finally!" Isabelle's voice shot back. "I've been trying to get you!!"
Magnus deflated and sat on the bed. "And I've been trying to sleep...What is it?"
She was quiet for a moment. A silence that made Magnus feel ill, was Alec alright??? Had something horrible happened? Was that some angelic figure of Alec coming to him in his dreams, offering the last bit of love he could before he departed...
"Alec- had a very bad night last night.... "
Magnus clutched the phone tightly. "What do you mean?"
"Well.... I mean-" she sighed. "He needs some cheering up... he was getting snippy with everyone and suddenly he stormed back to his room and locked us all out..."
Magnus let out the breath he had been holding in. "perhaps I'll give him a call."
"That's probably a good idea."
Isabelle wasn't going to tell the Warlock that his real problem was insecurity. That he had talked himself into believing he would have to give up everything he had started with Magnus and go back to his own kind, and to a different gender. Magnus knew that whatever Alec was feeling must have been bad enough that Isabelle felt the need to call in backup.
Or perhaps, Magnus knew... it was about "them". Their relationship... and Isabelle just didn't want to give the bad news.
"Thank you" Magnus stated simply. "I'll call him now." Without hesitation he hung up the phone and dialed Alec, feeling this horrid sinking pain. Was this going to be the end?
On the other end of the line, Alec sat up, blinking and looking around the dark room for his phone. Who was calling him this early? His hair messy from uneasy sleep. He finally found it and clicked It on.
"Hello?" he muttered groggily.
"Hello Alexander." Magnus said tenderly
A smile shot across Alec's face. "you're calling early."
"Early?" Magnus asked questionably, draping himself across his fainting couch with his cup of coffee. "It's nearly 12."
Alec's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
"I'm positive... did I- Wake you?"
"Not really... I mean- you did but... I don't mind." Alec wedged the phone between his ear and his shoulder and flicked on a light pulling on a worn pair of jeans as he hopped about the room. "I must have overslept." He muttered more to himself then to Magnus.
"Perhaps you needed it" he replied lazily, listening to the rustling as he imagined Alec quickly attempting to get ready. Yanking on his pants, stepping into his shoes, pulling on a shirt... "are you feeling alright?"
"I-..." Alec trailed a moment stopping what he was doing. Magnus seemed to read into everything he did. He seemed to notice even the smallest changes. "I've felt better." He admitted sitting back down on his bed, remembering the thoughts that kept him up last night.
Magnus stayed quiet a moment, thinking about his next move. He almost feared continuing the conversation- worrying that this might be their last. "Do you want to come over?"
Alec didn't answer immediately, he stared at himself in the mirror. "I'm going to shower...." he started seeming lost in thought.
"We could go to breakfast."
"Yeah." Alec replied a smile returning ever so slightly. "I'd like that."
Magnus grinned a little bit as well, hearing the change in Alec's tone. "see you soon"
Alec was quiet... making no noise, then quickly as if hoping he could get away with it. "Iloveyoubye."
Click.
Magnus stayed holding the phone at his ear, feeling shocked. Had Alec given him the chance he would have returned the words... after a brief moment of course. Chairman pawed at Magnus' legs trying to capture his attention. "not right now...." Magnus muttered shooing him away. Alec's words echoed in his mind. He suddenly felt... pressure. Magnus hadn't felt pressure like this in a while- a sharp desire to make sure- he was at his very best.
What was this shadowhunter doing to him?
