Two years earlier

"This is going to be so much fun!" Kate laughed as she tied her dark hair in a tight pony tail.

Her ivory skin looked even paler when she wore black, she looked just like Snow White, but much deadlier.

I returned her smile. I loved seeing her happy.

We had been a team since my first day at the agency and, even if we hated each other at first, we were unseparable. And soon she was going to be family, which made me exceptionally happy.

"Okay, girls. The third floor hallway is free. Time to kick some ass." Alex's voice said in our ears.

Our mission was to bring the Monteros drug cartel down once and for all.

"You ready?" Kate asked winking.

"Oh, babe, you know I was born ready."

She laughed her head off and so did I. We always laughed and acted stupid when we were nervous.

"Let's do this." I put on my best combat face and forced myself to concentrate.

I raised my crossbow and shot an arrow above one of the windows of the third floor of the building in fron of ours. A long zip-line now connected the two buildings.

"This was such a good idea I can hardly believe it was mine." Kate laughed. God, I loved the way she could always joke around, even when pressure was so high.

I slid down first, breaking through the window and finding cover, I was followed by Kate soon after.

"Clear." I spoke in my headphone.

"Good. Go straight on, then left." Alex ordered. We did as instructed.

"Two behnd the corner." he warned us. I nodded at Kate. We went around the corner and shot them both befre they could realise we were there.

"Keep going, you'll find a staircase on your left."

"Okay, found it." Kate stated.

"You need to go to the basement."

We went down the stairs, silently, taking out every single one of the cartel's men.

"Perfect job, girls. Now to the difficult part." he announced panting slightly. "There's a whole army down there and Monteros is with them.

"Is it where they keep their supplies?" I asked.

"Yes, baby, it is." he panted again.

"What's up with you?" I asked.

"Nothing, feeling anxious, be careful out there."

Kate smirked.

"Shut it." I warned her.

"Love birds."

I scowled. "If I wasn't to busy with this stupid drug cartel, I would seriously kick your ass."

"Come on." she laughed. "It's time to play."

We raised our machine-guns and made our way into what was going to be our personal inferno.

We covered each other's backs as we went deeper into the basement. There were crates stacked everywhere, some were open and you could see weapons and drugs inside them. It looked like a giant maze ready to explode in our faces.

"One on your left!" Kate called. I put him down while she shot three approaching us.

I heard a bullet flying right beside me, I looked up and there were five guys aiming at us.
