Chapter 2

*Amanda's P.O.V.*

I woke up gasping and immediately touch my neck and forehead "There's nothing there Miss Amanda." I hear Emily say as she enters the room and smiles at me "Katherine bit me..... She's a vampire isn't she? Am I turning into one?" I ask as she opens the curtains, I cower away from the sun not wanting to shine like I usually do, just as Katherine enters the room "Yes I did, I am and you are..... but I'm really sorry, you followed me and I should have had more caution." she says as she sits on the bed.

"It's okay, I thought you were hurt that's why I followed you. What happens now?" I ask them, Emily smiles and says "You have to drink human blood in the next 24 hours if you don't you die. If you do choose do drink human blood I will make you a day light ring that will let walk out into the sun and it will stop the shining too." I look at the two people who became my friends in the 5 days that they've been here having arrived in September 3rd and now being September 8th, I didn't want to be a vampire and kill people but I didn't want to die. The two brunette's look at me waiting for my answer and I sigh "Fine I will drink human blood but only because I don't want to lose you or my brothers." they both smile and Katherine leaves while Emily grabs a ring "Hey that's mine, what are you doing?" I ask her, she laughs and answers "I'm charming it so you can walk around in the sun and yes it's yours Miss Amanda." I smile and watch her as she charms it, I always loved the fact that Emily was a witch, I was always there if any maid or guest insulted Emily and took up to myself to protect her, Emily was like an older sister to me.

Soon Katherine came back to my room with a woman, one of the maids, that always teased Emily about being a witch, she looked at me and smiled before looking at Emily and taunting "Awe the little Bennett witch is here? What are you going to do? Charm me out of the house?" I glare at her and Katherine sighs annoyed and whispers to me "Compel her to shut up and not to make a sound and kill her." I look at her confused and frown, she laughs lowly and whispers again "Just look her dead in the eye and tell her to do anything and she will." I nod and take a deep breath just as the maid  pushes Emily and says "You can't do anything to me or I'll tell Mister Salvatore." she then laughs obnoxiously and I get pissed as I see that Emily is really hurt by the harsh words she's been saying, I growl and pin the maid to the wall by her neck and look her straight in the eye.

"Shut up and apologize to Emily." I growl at her, I see the blonde's pupils dilate and she says 'I'm sorry for all the mean things I ever said to you." Emily nods but I'm not quite done, I look into her eyes again and say "Now don't make a sound and don't move." she nods and stays still, I move her head to the side and look at Katherine, she nods and I bite into the blonde maid's neck, once my fangs pierce through her skin I feel her warm and sweet blood flow into my mouth and moan slightly, I swallow the blood I have in my mouth and drink more, I don't stop until there's no more blood in her body. I pull back and let her body fall on the floor, I feel my fangs go back into my gums and turn to the two brunettes, they both smile proudly and Emily hands me my ring.
