Chapter 6

*Stefan's P.O.V.*

"Amanda we best be going! I don't want to keep Rebekah waiting." I call out from the door, I hear her bubbly laugh as she comes down the stairs in a black jazz babies dress, he black kitten heels, she had her hair in a bun and diamond earrings that Klaus, Rebekah's brother, had given her, the pears that she compelled a man to give her and her daylight ring. "You do know that Rebekah is taking her time to impress you don't you big brother?" she asks in her happy voice, the kind of voice I had only heard once and that was when she was with Anna is 1864, having been told of the events between the two back in 1920, I was happy that she found love and I know that the love was pure, because not even when she was with Anna she would smile this much, or shine much less doll herself up.

I shake my head and extend my arm to her, she takes it and we walk to Gloria's bar as soon as we enter she is pulled from me making me almost attack the person if it weren't for the familiar chuckle "Calm down Stefan I wouldn't hurt Crystal." Klaus, my best friend, said, I roll my eyes at him just as Rebekah appears, I smile and take her to the dance floor, "How I have missed you Stefan." she says, I smile and kiss her pulling her close by her waist, she kisses back before pulling back and looking at me, I smile and say "Trust me I have missed you more." she smiles and I chuckle, I look over to Klaus and Amanda to see him get down on one knee "Is he....?" I ask and Rebekah nods giggling "Yes he's proposing to her. I swear I have never seen my brother so in love to the point of asking someone to marry him. She truly is the one made for him." she whispers laying her head on my shoulder, I smile at her just as my sister throws her arms around him and he catches her smiling too.

*Amanda's P.O.V. (From the moment her and Stefan enter)*

I walk into Gloria's with Stefan when suddenly I'm pulled to a hard chest and the smell of blood, cinnamon, woods and wolf it my nostrils making me melt straight into his arms mumbling really lowly "Nik..." he rubs my lower back making me shiver just as my 1 year older brother turns to us ready to pounce on Nik who chuckles and says "Calm down Stefan I wouldn't hurt Crystal." I shiver when he calls me Crystal, Stefan rolls his eyes and goes dance with Rebekah, suddenly gets down down on one knee making me look at him with wide eyes "Crystal, you complete me in a way I never thought it was possible, you have opened my eyes to new things and made me feel things I never knew existed. In these past 2 months have been amazing and I want you in my life for all eternity. Amanda Crystal Salvatore will you marry me?" he says and opens a small black box showing a diamond ring, I cover my mouth and look at him nodding, he grabs my left hand and place the ring on my left ring finger, I smile and stare at it as he stand up, I then throw my arms around his neck smiling and crying, he catches me smiling.

 I pull back from him and he kisses me deeply to which I immediately respond passionately, when we pull apart I giggle as I see Stefan and Rebekah dancing, Nik frowns and I point at them, he looks at them and smiles.

Suddenly the doors burst open and people run in firing wooden bullets, Nik pulls me behind a pillar and soon Stefan and Rebekah join us "Sister we have to leave." Nik says, I frown at him and he kisses me one more time before looking into Stefan's eyes and saying "You are to forget about Rebekah and I until I tell you otherwise." I let out a small scream not only because of what he said but because on a wooden bullet trespassing my shoulder and stays in, Rebekah grabs paper and places it on the wound, I hiss in pain and Nik pulls me to him and growls a bit before giving me a lingering kiss, I look up to him in confusion and he looks into my eyes and says "I'm sorry my love but you shall not remember me nor Rebekah until I tell you otherwise. I love you." I look at him blankly not knowing how to react, he starts pulling Rebekah with him when suddenly she stops and says "I want to stay here with Stefan!" Nik looks at her and says "You can't little sister, we have to leave." she glares and points at me "WHAT ABOUT YOUR FIANCEE?" She asks and he answers "As much as I love her I don't want her dead by our father's hands that's why I made them forget us now come on." she stays put and Nik daggers her making her go pale "I'm sorry little sister it's for your own good." he whispers and picks her up and uses his vampire speed to run away.

After a while Stefan looks at me and sees my shoulder "What happened?" he asks frantic, I look at him confused at how he couldn't remember and I could, and that's when the little light upstairs turned on, I couldn't be compelled and I condemned to remember Nik and never be with him. "I got shot." I explain as he dabs another paper on the wound, suddenly a man appears looking a bit like Rebekah and asks "Excuse me have you seen these two? They are murders and need to be convicted for their crimes." Stefan along with me shake our heads and he leaves.
