The rumors

Selene had woken up to whispering in the girls dormitory she liad there just to hear what they were talking about pulling the covers over her she could hear one girl talking, “Rumors are Tom is doing the killings in this school, he's dark and creepy, he keeps to himself, he's a slytherine they get away with everything.” One whispers softly.

I bit down on my lip wondering if what they were saying was really true, I didn't want to believe them in my heart he was the same Tom I grew to know at the orphanage they didn't know him like I do or see what I could see, “I don't think he would kill anyone Margret, terrible things happen all the time to people, Tom seems to good for that, he doesn't look the killing type.”

I slowly got out of bed once they had left the room, I walked over to the chest on the end of the bed searching through some clothes I found a clean pair of school robes, I closed the wash room door leaning against the wall biting down on my lip wondering if I should ask Tom about this, he does seem to be hiding things from me, I slowly changed into my school uniform and slipped on my robe fixing my hair and makeup the magic way I smile weakly staring at my reflection, OWLS was coming up I knew I had to put my head in gear and study so I could pass and Graduate with everyone else school was ending to soon I didn't want Tom to leave town for a while, I wanted him to stay.

I walked down the staircase moments later bumping into Tom on my way to the Great Hall for breakfast I bit down on my lower lip, his brown hair messy, his eyes looking tired like as he stared into my very own, I ran my index finger down his cheek smiling weakly at him, “Tom there's rumors going around..” I whisper softly. “Rumorst hat you have murdered people here in Hogwarts, please tell me it's only a rumor and not true.” Worry filled my eyes as I moved some hair out of his face, his eyes never leaving mine.

“Selene, I have already caught the one doing this remember?” Tom asked quietly.

“I know but there were other killings after that and I over herd two girls saying that it may be you.” I say softly looking down at the ground, his index finger went under my chin instantly and made me look into his eyes, anger filled them.

“You believe some muddbloods over me?” Tom hissed quietly.

“I don't know Tom.. really I don't.” I say.

Tom laughed darkly, “Either you do or don't Selene, you've known me for a very long time am I really that kind of person that would do something like this? To kill a Innocent person?” I shake my head, he had a point he didn't seem the type, tears filled my eyes as I stared into his very own eyes.

“No, I'm sorry Tom..” I whisper softly.

Tom sighs bringing me into A hug, I clinched onto his school robe burying my head into his shoulder, his scent drove me crazy, he soon pulled back looking around making sure no one was around and his lips had touched mine kissing me gently I slight smile spread across my lips as I kissed him back his arms stayed around my waist for a few moments until we both parted, “You look exausted, you should sleep.” I whisper softly as our foreheads were touching.

“Yes I suppose I should.” Tom says softly.

I smile weakly as his lips touched mine once again, part of me wanted to believe him but another part of me wasn't sure what to believe anymore, he was always tired and sneaking off during Prefect duty, I shook my head from the thought and watched as Tom walked up the staircase before they started to move again, I soon got to the Great Hall in time to eat a little breakfast before classes had started as I walked in I noticed Alex and Jeremiah and smiled as I walked over and sat beside both of them as eggs, bacon and two biscuits filled my plate and Hot Chocolate filled my glass.

“Where were you? You almost missed breakfast.” Alex says softly.

“I was busy with something.” I lied knowing Alex hated when I hung out with Tom, he stares at me a moment before he continued to eat the rest of his breakfast.

I know it's super short but it's an update, I've had a bit of a writers block issue the past few days and this is all i came up with for this chapter, will Selene find out the real truth about Tom's dark secrets?
