Halloween Dance

I sat in the Library with Alex that afternoon studying for the exams with Alex I had noticed an owl fly throw the open doors and it swiftly sat on the table beside me, I noticed it to be Tom's, A small smile formed across my face as I picked the letter up slowly watching as his owl flew back out, Alex shook his head putting his quill down.

“He's dangerous Selene.” He whispers softly as I opened the letter up looking down at it reading it.

Selene,

Hello love, meet me at the staircase after the dance, don't let anyone follow you.

I put the letter in my book smiling, Alex looked at me a moment.. “You just love to mess with Danger don't you?” He whispers softly.

“That I do Alex.” I say softly gathering my book, “I'm going to Hogsmade to get A dress for the dance, care to join?” I ask standing.

“I suppose, I have a date to the dance I should get her something.” He says also gathering his things, I grin at him ruffling his brown hair.

“And who's the lucky girl there Alex? Do I know her?” I asked picking on him as we began to walk out of the Library we turned the corner and started up the stairs until we herd faint whispers from across the hallway, Alex stared at me pleeding me to not go over, of course I never listen to him and went over quietly peering from the corner I noticed Tom and one of his mates Avery that started the same year as us both, “You remember the plan don't you?” Tom asked harsly, I couldn't make out everything that had been said that was the only thing I understood, Alex took my hand leading me way from the corner and back out towards the staircase.

I had been wondering about in Hogsmade for a few hours with Alex window shopping I was trying to find the perfect dress for the Dance I wanted to look beautiful for Tom it would be my first time to be this close to him since we had started back at school after the spring break at the Orphanage, he hadn't really talked to me since he had brought up the baby subject, I then felt bad but turned a corner and my eyes had lit up A small grin spread across my rosy lips, “I have to get this one Alex.. It's perfect for A Halloween dance.” I say tugging him inside the shop, the dress was in the window I instantly went over to the lady behind the counter.

“Ma'am do you mind if I try that dress on at the window?”

She smiles, “Not at all dear.” She stood up walking over and took it off the manikin then handed it to me, “It won't take long I promise.” I turn to Alex with A smile walking to the dressing room, I slipped out of my shirt and jeans and then slipped into the dress walking out moving my hair from the zipper on the back of it biting my lip lightly, “Hey Alex, can you help me with this zipper?” I ask quietly.

His skin had touched mine, it sent chills down my spine as he traced the outline of my shoulder after zipping it he stepped back as I admired myself in the dress, it fit perectly. “What do you think?” I ask twirling around in it.

Alex eyed me up and down, “You look amazing, Tom is a lucky man, he better treat you right tonight.” He warns with a smile.

I laugh softly, “I'm sure he will Alex.” I say smiling walking back into the dressing room after he had unzipped it, I put my clothes back on and had walked out moments later over to the counter.

“That will be 3 Gallons.” The lady says as she rung it up, I looked around finding the perfect shoes and grabbed them, she added it with it aswell and looks at me. “5 gallons.” she says with A warm smile.

I hand her the money and smile back warmly, she handed me the bag moments later and we walked out of the store, I could see Tom walk out of A shop Borgin and Burkis, Alex raised an eye brow as did I wondering why he was in there with Avery, we continued to walk back to Hogwarts after stopping for some Hot Chocolate.

The girls were getting ready for the dance as was I, I was also wondering what Tom had planned for that evening and why he wanted me to meet him by the staircase before the dance was over, after doing my hair and makeup I had slipped the dress on, smiling to myself in the mirror walking out of the dormitory and into the common room once again that evening, Alex was already there with his date I was meeting Tom there of course, my heart was racing it's been A while and I was going to enjoy that evening no matter what.

As I walked down the staircase I had noticed Tom in A suit, he looked rather handsome all dressed up, his eyes scanned the place and looked quiet nervous all together I couldn't help but to laugh softly as the girls left my side he then noticed me and for once he actually smiled, I got up to him and grinned, “Tom Riddle smiling? Well I must of done something good then.” I whispered softly in his ear.

Tom laughs, “You look beautiful..” He says grinning holding his hand out, I gladly took it.

My heart raced as our hands touched one another, the door opened and we both walked inside all eyes laid on us from the Slytherine's side but it didn't seem to bother Tom at the moment, he lead me over to the dance floor where everyone else was at wrapping his arms around my waist as I wrapped my arms around his neck, our foreheads touching and our eye's locked with one another, we had danced to a few songs I never knew Tom as the dancing type nor did I even know that he knew how to dance, he took my hand in his moments later and we had snuck out of the Great Hall and down the hall.
