Lisa's POV

I woke up to multiple bangs and crashes coming from downstairs in the kitchen. Certainly not my idea of a perfect alarm but what could I do. I glanced over at the clock to check the time. 8:34. I groaned... I didn't want to get up this early on Saturday! I looked over a Lauren and Dani. They both seemed to be totally oblivious to the bangs and crashes I heard earlier. They were both still sleeping hard as a rock. I was reluctant to get out of bed as it was a bit early for a Saturday, but eventually I decided to go downstairs to see what was up with the crashes.

I started walking down the stairs and I wasn't even halfway before I started smelling the smell of cinnamon pancakes. Mmmm!!

I got to the kitchen and I saw Kath standing there and about half our kitchen on the floor!! Ok, not literally but it certainly looked like it! There were pots and pans all over the floor and one of the drawers had come out and was sitting on the floor as well. I tried hard not to laugh at this sight.

"Wow Kath! How did you manage this?!" I asked her trying to keep a straight face.

"It's alright, you can laugh if you really have to," she paused for a while whilst I got my giggles out. I couldn't help it! It was such a funny sight seeing Kath holding a plate of pancakes standing in the middle of a pot and pan forest! "Anyway, um  I was making pancakes obviously and my dress got stuck in the drawer and I couldn't pull it out with my hands because they were busy so I kept tugging at it. I never realised how strong these drawers were! I couldn't get it out! And well, I guess when I did... the whole drawer decided to come out with it! Hah... " she finished whilst somewhat laughing at herself.

"Wow Kath! You're such a klutz! Never mind, I'll help you clean it all up then we'll eat your pancakes. They smell amazing by the way!" I told her.

With that, we both started grabbing the pots and the pans off the floor and placed them on the bench. I never realised how many we had until now, but I guess when you have to cook for 13 people you need a lot of pans...

It was around 9 when we finished with the pots and the pancakes. Only Christina had woken up by then but everyone else was still sleeping. We decided to keep the whole pot and pan thing a secret between me and Kath.

"Hey Lise, why aren't you dressed yet? I thought you would have been way out of the house by now!" Christina said to me.

What? What is she talking about? Is she joking? She knows I never leave the house being the introverted person I am..

"What are you on about?" I asked her, legitimately confused.

Christina gave me a questioning look, looking at me as if I was joking.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten!" she finally said.

"Forgotten what? Just tell me."

"Didn't Ty come back from his trip late last night? I thought you would have gone to visit him."

"Oh what!! How could I forget!! Sorry Christina, love to chat but I have to be on my way" I said to her as I ran upstairs.

I was running so fast up the stairs that I almost bumped into Lauren.

"Whoa there... slow down" said sleepy Lauren as she rubbed her eyes and yawned.

But I couldn't slow down! I was so excited.

"What's up with here?" I heard Lauren ask Christina from downstairs.

"Hah, she forgot Ty was coming back! Here, have a pancake... " And that was the last I heard.

How could I forget Ty was coming back? I was so excited for this! Ty, my best friend of 8 years had been gone for a month on a family trip and he returned late last night. Too late for me to see him then. As I did my hair I silently thanked Kath for taking down a whole drawer.

I was done in less than 5 minutes which was pretty good considering it was me. I grabbed my phone and ran down the stairs again, this time bumping into Amy.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" she asked me confused

"No time to explain I gotta goooooooooooo!" I stretched out the O's and kept them going until I got out the house.

"It's Ty" I faintly heard my sisters say to Amy.

I chucked to myself. I was so excited to see him...

(A/N First actual part of the story. I hope you enjoyed it! I don't know if anyone will read this but if you do thank you very much and ily!)
