My world was teetering on the edge of chaos and anarchy, rioting and looting filled the upper and mid levels of every hive city, the lower classes uprising against those that owned the factories, mines and other work places they worked in.
Along with them around half of the local law enforcement started to riot with their families their loyalties to me non existent now, the half that remained were severely outnumbered even the Adeptus Arbites also on world couldn't stand up against the rioters. Every day a new district fell in every city my calls for help seemingly being unanswered.I sat at my desk half dressed a bottle of the strongest i had on my desk as my cogitator whirred and whined with every new report being sent to it. I took a gulp of the alcohol from my glass and put it down on the desk, i starred absent mindlessly around my office. When a knock at my door brought me back to my senses.
"Enter"
The door creaked open and in came my faithful advisor and friend Jon who unlike me was well dressed and smart his brown hair combed over even now he still kept a calm and powerful posture of a gentleman.
"I have good news friend" he said a smile crept across his face as he finished his opening sentence.
"Well?" I asked sitting up in my chair
"Sector command has reported that segmentum command has deemed your request worthy of a reply and they have sent a regiment of the Astra Militarum to our aid" Jon replied his excitement making him nearly jump through the ceiling.
"Excellent when will they arrive?" I asked suddenly feeling a little bit better
"In the next forty eight hours, their commanding officer...a Lieutenant Colonel Grlks has requested all information we have to be prepared for him and his officers to review prior to the deployment of his troops"
"Very well lets prepare"
