Information [Timeline/Pokemon/Cults]:

I know there's a lot of info between this chapter and the next, so just skimming through this is fine.

TIMELINE

· July 6th, 2016: Pokemon Go is released.

· October 25nd, 2016: The first portals opened, – 30 of them. Two for each pole, eight circling the equator, and four on large cities. Pokemon streamed out, angry and attacking humans.

· October 29nd, 2016: The world banded together for an emergency conference in an unknown location. Government officials from most countries came (124/196 countries). All died when a dragon horde burned the location to the ground.

· October 31nd, 2016: The Halloween War began. Man against pokemon, world against other...

· November 1st, 2020: The war ended. The world lost.

· January 7th, 2060: The first Conurbation (super-city) opened up again – NYC. The world's biggest and brightest minds headed there – Nobel Peace Prize winners, scientists, speakers, those with extremely strong magic in their families; it was the hub of innovation in a ruined world. It formed walls, a strict government. People were not allowed out in fear of being killed. Farms were formed, and cloning helped feed the masses without travelling far.

· January 7th, 2075: The "Big Ten" – ten Conurbations, all posted around the world, opened up. There was Luxuria (East Coast USA), La Ciudad (Mexico), Rio de Vida (Brazil), Guizhou (China), Seizon-Sha Siti (Japan, means survivor city; often referred to as SSS (or triple S)), Big Smoke (Australia – this is slang for a big city), Queen's Crown (UK), Naslediye (Nas for short, means Legacy in Russian (Russia), City of Sun (Islamabad), and more. (Be as creative as you'd like; if you have an idea, do it)

· January 7th, 2080: The World Council of Defense (WCD) formed. All Conurbations, big and small (there were 38 at this point) banded together and created a council to create an army to deal with the monster issue. The world's brightest minds tried to use science to attack pokemon; they tested them, put them in labs. Armies and military went onto the battlefield and cleared areas. Others helped on the home front, and the world fought back...and for some time, things were calm.

· October 19th, 2091: Present-day. Monsters are popping back up, and people fear the worst. Three Conurbations have been destroyed, and NYC, the world's largest and greatest, is starting to up its defenses. Since the 'incident' (where 22 out of 30 hunters died, and 2 out of 8 decided to stay), it had taken in new, young hunters – teens, who still have the potential to grow greatly in magic and to be stars. NYC gives the people within its walls a false sense of security...but what else is it hiding?

POKEMON:

So, Pokemon are mostly bad in this rp. Hypno abduct children, Tentacruel are like krakens, and ghost-type Pokemon haunt places and rise after the dead have fallen.

The standard gods have mostly fallen, and have been replaced with Arceus and the creation myth.

When Pokemon came, all the standard animals died. They went poof.

Many Pokemon have replaced others (glameow/meowth=housecat, poochyena/snubbull/lillipup=dog, etc.), and some are friendly. Others are used in food - magikarp fillet, cherrim parfait, torchic eggs and spoink bacon, etc.

However, the larger, more dangerous pokemon are feared. Those that don't live in conurbations live in constant fear of being destroyed under a tyranitar's earthquake, etc. - an entire conurbation in San Francisco was drowned by water-pokemon, for example.

THE Cults:

The Cult of Jirachi:

The Cult of Jirachi's a more open, friendly group. However, they do stay secret - they're not out in the open. Their goal is to get Jirachi (because people with prophetic magic) claim that Jirachi's 1000 year-sleep is coming to a close, and when Jirachi awakens, it grants wishes. The cult wants that wish for themselves.

They're planning on finding Jirachi first.

The Cult of Mewtwo:

A darker, more serious cult that is involved with the drug trade and with the underground fighting rinks in NYC. The followers are curious about cloning, and their base is extremely scientific - scary, even. The cultists are working to creating Mewtwo from DNA of Mew/Ditto, just how Mewtwo was created. They have a lot of Team Rocket's influences, and are very powerful but secretive. Most people don't believe they exist - they're fake (like how the Illuminati are treated). Those that believe it to be true are called crazy.

They work in the shadows, and they're growing in power. They have connections everywhere - a lot with the media, actually. They'll do anything to get what they want.
