Note: I am so so so so sorry for not updating last week. I was super busy and totally forgot about it!

Last time on the Watcher in the Woods: Kirsten was in the hospital and she told Bellamy that she saw bones down in the cave.

"What do you mean bones?!?" Bellamy said looking extremely confused.

"Like bones, you know." Kirsten replied cautiously, the last thing she needed was for Bellamy to think she was crazy.

"Are you sure they were human bones?"

"I'm positive."

"And you're sure you didn't hit your head on the way down?" Bellamy arched his eyebrow.

"No Bellamy I'm serious!" Kirsten snapped. A beat of silence passed by. "I'm sorry Bell I shouldn't have yelled at you you're just trying to help. Yes, I'm absolutely sure they were bones, I know what I saw."

"It's okay, you've been through a lot today. Right now I want you to rest before your surgery and we can deal with this tomorrow, okay?" Their gazes met for a second and Kirsten saw something pass through his hazel eyes, but she couldn't quite place what it was. She had never been good with people, or reading their emotions.

"Okay." she smiled softly and rolled over onto the other side of the bed so her back was to Bellamy. She knew she couldn't sleep not after what she saw, but she would tell everyone about that after the surgery. Hopefully by then she would somehow find the courage to.

Light flooded through the window in Kirsten's hospital room and casted across the scratchy blue blankets. Kirsten slowly began to open her eyes to the water stained white drop tile ceiling, and dread began to fill her stomach. What happened, what she saw, it wasn't just a terrible dream, this was her reality and she was going to have to face it. But, yet that could wait until she had her normal clothes back on instead of the thin hospital gown that she was currently wearing. She sat up and used her good arm to brace herself on the bed as she looked over towards the chair that was next to the bed. Her clothes had been folded neatly and sat onto the chair. It was most likely Kourtney who folded the clothes and Kirsten appreciated the gesture. She moved so that her long legs dangled off the side of the bed and let them drop down onto the cold laminate flooring. Shivering with the sudden coldness of the hospital, Kirsten readjusted the strap of the sling that held her arm in place. She was confused about the fact that she didn't feel any pain, but she decided it was because the painkillers they gave you after surgery. She scooped up the clothes of of the chair and walked into the bathroom, the hospital gown made her feel exposed which was a feeling she hated.

Once changed back into her regular clothes Kirsten walked back into the main room. She found Kourtney perched in the same chair that her clothes were sitting on minutes before.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Kourtney stood up and pulled Kirsten into a hug.

"I'm okay, thanks for coming." Kirsten pulled back from the hug.

"Of course, that's what friends are for." Kourtney smiled "So how bad does your arm hurt?"

"Actually it doesn't hurt at all, they must have gave me some pretty strong pain killers after the surgery."

"Yeah, they must of."

"So, how long was I out for?" Kirsten sat down on the bed.

"About three hours. Griffin and Bellamy went home so they could shower and change but they're on their way back right now."

"Okay."

After a moment of silence Dr. Rosewood walked into the room. "Hello Kirsten, how are you feeling?"

"I'm okay." She smiled

"Rate your pain on a scale of one to ten."

"A zero."

"Really? " Dr. Rosewood raised his eyebrow. "The opioids should have worn off by now, we didn't give you that much. Let me have a look at the incision." He made his way over to where she was sitting on the bed and unwrapped her bandages. When they came off Kirsten gasped. Where there should've been a wound from the surgery there was a fleshy pink scar.

"I don't think this has ever happened before." Kourtney gasped

"Kirsten-" Dr. Rosewood said, "I haven't been a doctor for long but, I've never seen anything like this." He turned around and started bustling around the cabinets that held the medical supplies. "Do you mind if I ran some tests on you?"

"I guess, but when can I leave?" She asked

"Seeing that you're completely healed, I'll get a nurse to discharge you right after I get the samples that I need."

"Alright well go for it then." She shrugged and Dr. Rosewood busied himself with taking samples. About ten minutes later Bellamy and Griffin came through the door right as Dr. Rosewood was heading out.

"Kourtney, you promised you would call as soon as she woke up!" Bellamy said.

"Sorry." She shrugged. Bellamy walked over and gave Kirsten a hug.

"Hey, how are you?" He asked.

"I'm fine Dr. Rosewood said I can go home in a few minutes I just have to wait for someone to discharge me." She smiled

"She's completely healed, Dr. Rosewood and I have never seen anything like it." Kourtney told Bellamy.

"Well thats fantastic." Griffin said.

All the sudden there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." Kirsten called.

"Miss. Goodkin, Dr. Rosewood said you were good to go, you can leave whenever you like." A short, plump nurse informed them.

"Alright, let's get out of here then. Being in the hospital makes me feel gross." Kirsten stood up and they all walked out of the hospital together.

So that's it, did you like it?

Like I said I was super busy last week and I was super busy this week because I started Cross Country practice again this week. This has been the first time I've practiced since my injury last spring, and I'm feeling pretty good.
