chapter 20

Mike P.O.V-

Its been about two weeks since vics party and summer is extremely ill. We all think she has the flu, but arnt positive since she won't go to the doctors.

"Summer sweety, try some crackers" I said consern flooding my body.

Just looking at the crackers had her running to the bathroom with hi-me following close behind.

I hate seeing her like this. it breaks my heart knowing she's miserable and I can't do anything.

Summer P.O.V-

I've been sick for about two days now. The second I wake up I'm puking, sometimes I even wake up in the middle of the night needing to puke. just smelling or looking at certain foods makes me need to puke. I can barelt hold anything down.

I dropped to my knees infronf of the toilet and dry heaved since I had puked everything up already. Jaime rubbed my back as I did so.

"Breathe" he said softly to me. I did as I was told and soon the dry heaving stopped. "I'm taking you to the doctors" he said sternly as i stood up.

I bowed my head and sighed softly. "fine" with that, I was being dragged out of the house and into hi-me's car.

"don't pull me so hard" I whined.

"sorry" he let go of me and opened the car door so I could get in.

I slowly slid in, then buckled up. Hi-me did the same and then started up the car.

we drove the 20 minute drive to the doctors office and hi-me called to let them know were coming.

When we got in, we gave our name and sat in the waiting room.

"summer fuentes" my name was called by a nurse in blue scrubs.

Hi-me got up and held his hand out towards me. He pulled me up, never releasing my hand from his.

She lead us to a room and us sit down while she took my vitals. Shhe handed me a paper gown and told me to put this on and that the doctor would be in shortly.

I did as told and took off my clothes, pulling the gown on and tyeing it behind me.

There was a knock at the door, then it opened to reveal the doctor.

"hi summer. I'm Dr. Rearden" she said sticking her hand out towards me. I shook it and smiled a sweet smile.

"hi Dr. rearden. this is my boyfriend jaime. he insisted on coming on" I said motioning to hi-me.

"its nuce to meet you jaime. Now Summer, tell me what's been going on" She took a seat across from me and took notes on her clipboard as I talked.

I told her everything that's been going on and she nodded every once in awhile.

"well how about we take some blood and see if its the flu or not" She smiled and then lead us to the area you get blood taken in.

I sat in a chair and a different nurse sat on a rolly chair and took my blood. After that I changed and she said the results she be in, in a couple hours. if not, tommorow. 

Jaime and I went back home to a quiet house. I walked into the kitchen, feeling very hungry.

I went to open the fridge, when I saw a not.

Summer,

Took vic and August to a movie. Be home in two hours. love you, feel better.

I nodded to myself and got out a big jar of pickles. I brought it back to the living room and sat down next to hi-me.

I basically ate pickles the whole time we waited for the phone call. except the three times I had to get up to puke.

My phone rang and I immediately picked it up, knowing it was the doctor.

"hello" I answered.

"hi summer. its Dr.Rearden; I have your test results" She said sweetly.

"ok. what is it?" I asked, becoming anxious of the answer.

"Well it wasn't the flu" she said slowly. I nodded, even though I knew she couldn't see me. "Summer, you're pregnant. Congratulations"
