Jake's P.O.V.
I sat on the ridge waiting for Mike as he smelled around for the one scent he's been tracking the past few days, I already had sniffed around finding what I had been looking for.

Her.

Her sweet strawberry scent seemed to be everywhere we went.
Mike didn't understand how much I needed to find the girl to whom the scent belonged to, well neither of us would understand how one another needed their mate but we knew they'd be close somewhere.

A sudden thought crossed my mind trying to picture what my future mate would look like, would she be blond, redheaded or a brunette.....the color of her skin, the way she talked, her dominance over others, if she was kind or caring or even upheld the dignity of a worth female.....everything swam around in my mind until being cut off by Mike in my head, his brash voice filled with disappointment.

"I'm done smelling around for her, the scent seems a few days old. Hopefully we'll find my mate in a close pack or something."

"What's the closest pack from here?"

"I don't know, I feel half lost already. We've been gone from home for awhile."

"Then let's hurry"

We ran off, holding our noses to the earth as we went. Tracking our mates scent, strawberry and vanilla with hints of mint, I hoped I'd get home before my brother with my own mate.
We would claim our thrown as the older half and I'd make my brother our beta along with Buck, I wonder how stuff was going at home....

My train of thought was broken the moment I caught my mate's scent again, but newer, cutting across the trail I was already following. We shifted and hid among bushes.

She was close.

Mike's P.O.V

I can smell her.....she's so much closer than I though.

She could be a rogue....I quickly dismissed the thought, not allowing myself to give my mind the pleasure of thinking how dirty our female would be as a rogue.
I turned to Jake smiling as both our chests heaved from running so fast for so long, I sighed leaning my head back against the tree I was laying on. My mind suddenly started thinking about my mate, her scent smelled like fresh earth after a rainfall, surprisingly not a scent I'd expect myself to want from a female but still I felt a pull on it, her alluring scent reminding me of newly opened rosebuds.

I sighed happily deep in thought before I felt Jake grab my arm quickly "I smell her.....her scent seems to be getting closer" I sat up smelling the air and to my surprise he seemed right about my mate as well, we quickly stand up hiding on opposite sides of the trail as a few wolves pass by us.
I stare at the female in front of the others leading them to where we were heading towards. My canines seem to gently grow as I feel my wolf stir wanting to claim her now where she stood, I tried calming down my wolf as I smelt my brother's excitement from afar almost unnoticeable with the smell of so many plants around him.

Jake's P.O.V.
It's her! My instincts were going wild as she walked past. She was the female in front leading her other pack members on the trail, my excitement was going wild as I heard my inner wolf howl triumphant at finally seeing his mate after so much tracking.
I could feel my heart skip a beat as she seemed to be tracking something, was it me she was looking for? Could she tell her mate was so close to her.......my body wanted to jump out and tackle her but I stopped myself, she has others with her,it would seems inappropriate to claim her in front of other wolves.....I wouldn't want my mate to be judged by how her mate claimed her when they first met......but I'm the god damn alpha prince, she's royalty without knowing it. No one will laugh at her when they find out she's mine.

I was going to make sure that happened too, I'd make her my queen.

Yes my book seems stupid probably already, yes I can't write good material worth a crap and yes I know that my stories seem short af. Please no hate and please if you can give suggestions for names for characters.
