In the middle of their peaceful nap, Lydia was woken up by the sound of buzzing on the table. Sitting up and looking down at Stiles, who was lying on his back now still sleeping, she smiled before reaching over him to grab her phone.
Allison.
Lydia rolled her eyes with a quiet chuckle and answered, whispering to try to stay quiet. "Hello?"
"Lydia? What's going on?" Allison said from the other line, confused by her whispering. "Hold on." Lydia carefully got out from behind Stiles on the couch and stepped into his bedroom to continue the conversation. "There. What's up?" Allison laughed. "Hey, why were you whispering?" Lydia looked back into the living room, making sure she hadn't disturbed Stiles. "Um, no reason. Just took a nap." Allison let out a gasp, followed by a giggle. "Oh my god, were you taking a nap with Stiles? And he's still asleep so you're trying not to wake him, right? Awww! Lyds!" Lydia laughed, trying to get a word in. "Okay, maybe. But you still have not answered my question. Why did you interrupt said glorious nap?!" Allison burst out laughing, having to take a moment to catch her breath to speak again. "Well..." A cough, chuckle, cough, and a throat clear later, she finally continued, meanwhile earning an eye roll from Lydia. "I was going to ask if you wanted to have a girls' night out with me, but now I have a better idea." She giggled, pausing again. Lydia huffed. "Oh my god, seriously Al, what?" They both laughed before Allison carried on. "Okay. So I scored this reservation at La Moira's, right. You know, that swanky little bar they just put in? Well, I was going to steal you away for some dinner and drinks just the two of us, but... I have a better idea." She giggled mischievously. Lydia groaned. "Ughhhh, just spit it out!" She could already she where this was going. Allison laughed. "I'll call Scott, you tell Stiles to put on something clean without holes in it, I'll pick you up so we can get gorgeous, and tonight, my darling... You and I are having a night out with our handsome men. It's happening." Lydia giggled and rose in defense. "Allison, he's not even technically my man at this point! I'm really not sure what he is yet."
"Ahh, HA! So you admit it! There IS something!" Allison retorted. Lydia sighed and palmed her closed eyes, surrendering to her best friend's plan rather than elaborating further on her current romantic situation, with the object just in the other room. "Oh my god, Allison. What time do you want to do this?" The girl giggled in satisfaction. "Okay! So the reservation is at 7. I'll pick you up in about an hour, but I'll try to give you plenty of time with your whatever-he-is." She chuckled, trying to teasingly accommodate her friend's unsure state of mind. Lydia sighed again, shaking her head and putting a hand on her hip. "Allison, I love you." She said, exasperated. Allison laughed. "Yes, you do. And you will even more, after tonight. See you in an hour, babe! Have fun!" Lydia laughed. "Bye, Ally."
As she hung up, she heard footsteps coming from the hallway, causing her to turn around. Stiles yawned as he reached the doorway, leaning against it with one hand on each side. "Hey, what's going on? Everything okay?" He said groggily, his eyes half-shut from just waking up. Lydia giggled at the adorable sight of him. "Hey, Sleepy. That was Allison. She's made plans for us tonight." Stiles cinched his eyebrows together, pulling his head back in confusion. "She made plans for us? Like what?" Lydia blushed and looked at the ground. "Well... She kind of figured out, when I told her I was taking a nap, that it was with you. And, uh... She's planned a double date at La Moira's for her and Scott, with you and I." Stiles was now very awake and surprised. "Oh, sh-she did? That's a fancy place, too. When are we going?" Lydia raised her eyebrows at his willingness and ease. "Um, 7. So you'll go?" He chuckled. "Well, yeah. Of course I'll go." She grinned at him in delight. "Great. In that case, she's picking me up here in about an hour. She said we need to 'get gorgeous'." She laughed, with an eye roll. Stiles raised an eyebrow at her. "Get gorgeous? You don't say?" He winked, earning another giggle and blushing cheeks from Lydia. "She also wanted me to make sure you wear 'something clean without holes in it', as well." She laughed and he rolled his eyes, stepping into the room, heading to his closet.
