To my current knowledge, I can safely say with more than 95% confidence that the downfall of humans can be completely attributed to their curiosity. This is the philosophy of my incomplete life. My curiosity should be held accountable. Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely comfortable with my semi-normal life but asking for more or less seems rather important at this stage of my young but rather mature life. My problems, rather I should say my curiosity came to its peek when we began fighting over inferior things. To make matters worse the temptation was calling me at the right time when I had no clue about myself or about the world. Getting the perfect job was the only thing on my mind. At that point I asked myself: "is it humanly possible for someone to have the perfect physical relationship with someone who they do not love and somehow grow to love them?"

You must be wondering what I'm talking about. For you to understand I would have to take you back a few months. I was in a rather odd relationship. By nature, I am an unaffectionate person. I would rather sit down and watch a guy get chased by a dog than get help for him. I keep my affection to myself and my parents. Everyone else could have sucked on a dead fish for all I cared. My partner at the time didn't seem to fully understand the type of person I was. After about two months we were through - big deal. As I mentioned earlier my damned curiosity is to blame. I really should ignore my curiosity and get my maturity back for this interview. The boss was handsome. I almost got so caught up in him that I almost blew the interview to become his assistant. Surprisingly I kept it cool and got the job so it was definitely time to celebrate.

That evening my friends and I went out to celebrate me getting a job to work for one of the biggest companies. And working with such a handsome boss was icing on the cake. The evening was going by good. Two of them were about to hook up with these random guys. And the other was about to pass out. As for me I was sitting at the bar drinking my martini when that question came back to me: "is it possible?"

"Alyssa?!" I heard a familiar voice call my name.

I had to do a double take. Not because my ex called me but because of who's arm he was on - MY FUTURE BOSS! If you tried to pick the most awkward moment, this would definitely be it. Wrapping my mind around the fact that my ex was holding the arm of such a handsome man made me drink a martini down in one swig.

"Alyssa." He repeated.

I was a little tipsy, just so you know. "Impotent bastard." I replied with the biggest smile ever.

My future boss gave a chuckle and my ex turned his head. "You always were a hard ass, Alyssa."

His line was a total set up for me. "Not as hard as you're probably taking it Jason."

"Why you little..." He said frustrated.

"Are you talking about me or Little Jason?" I said with a smirk as I inches my fingers closer and closer together. No one in their right mind would resist such a lovely set up of insults.

"Ms. Matthew, I knew I hired you for a reason." He said putting out his cigarette.

"You what?! What did you say Lorenzo?!" Jason practically screamed.

"Starting next week Ms. Matthew will become my new personal assistant."

The personal part I didn't know about, but all the better.

"Why don't we start this relationship on the correct foot, Ms. Matthew? Would you like to join us for a drink?" My new boss asked.

Anyone in my position might have declined but it was the perfect opportunity to piss Jason off. "Mr. DeSouza, I would love to."

"Aly, is it ok if I call you Aly?" He asked.

I shrugged. "You'll be signing by pay checks so anything is fine."

He looked at Jason who by now had steam coming out of his ears. "Then please, all me Renzo since we will be close associates." Mr. Boss said with a devilish smirk.

Jason looked at Renzo. "I can't even call you Lorenzo. How can she, your employee called you Renzo? What am I to you then?" He asked close to going off.

Renzo stroked his chin. "Good question. I'll let Aly give you a response when I figure it out."

You should have seen the red on Jason's face. Here is where I knew my curiosity went sky high. From today I would be listening to my curiosity to see where it wants to lead me. But for now, drinks on Renzo. Work on Monday!
