Chapter 2~The War

Roy's POV
Gunshots, screaming, crying. All of that and more can be heard right now. I told Ed to stay at the safe place, while I fight. I put my fingers into a snapping position, as I'm standing in front of a weeping parent on her knees, holding her two sons close to her. I closed my eyes and turned away my head. Little did I know Ed was standing only a short distance from me. Before I could snap, I hear Ed call out to me. "Roy stop!!" I turn to see him running towards me. He grabs my arm with both his hands. "Don't do it... please..." He said, looking down at the ground as tears started rolling down his cheeks, and landed on the dirt of where we were sanding. I looked at him, my hand still held out in the snapping position. I then felt my lover fall to the ground holding his leg that wasn't automail. I looked at the woman holding her children, she had a gun in her hand. "Ed, try to move back." He looked at the woman as she was burning to flames along with the two young boys. After I snapped I grabbed Ed, and put him over my shoulders and ran.
Ed's POV
I saw the woman burst into flames as Roy ran with me over his shoulders. My face was full of fear and sadness, as I heard the screams of agony and pain fade away. Then we were back at the safe spot. Roy got the first aid kit and bandaged my leg that was shot. It was just a graze though, nothing too bad. "Are you okay Ed?" My raven haired lover asked. "I'm fine, it was just a graze, that's all." He grabbed both my shoulders and looked me straight in the eyes. "What were you thinking?" He asked. I looked back at him. "What do you mean?" He had a bit of anger in his eyes. "I specifically told you to stay here!" His voice was slightly raised. I shot him back with an angered expression on my face. "I couldn't just sit back and do nothing! We are fighting in a war, God dammit! I couldn't just let you fight alone!" I yelled. "God dammit Edward! Why don't you just follow my orders for once! If you did, none of this would've happened!" I growled. "Well, if I didn't come, then you would've gotten hurt even more!" He scoffed. "No I wouldn't have! I would've been fine!" "You were going to kill an innocent family Roy!" Tears started coming out. "The mother had two sons. And you were going to kill them. I couldn't let you do it." More tears streamed down. "Why wouldn't you let me kill them?" Instead of his voice being loud, it as soft, and had some sympathy in it. I looked down. "I saw my mother. That woman looked just like her. And the two boys. I saw Al and I. I couldn't let you kill them." I felt the Colonel hug me tight. I wrapped my arms around his back and cried into his chest. "I'm sorry Ed. But, I can't keep them alive. She was going to kill me." I looked up at him. "What?" "She was chasing me with her gun. I killed her husband. Then she started to chase after me, leaving behind her children. I'm sorry Ed. I had no other choice." I started crying even louder. "I'm sorry Roy. I should've listen to you. I'm sorry."

Hello! I just wanted to state something. Ed being a yandere will come, the war just needs to be over with, then that's when things get interesting. That's all. Just thought I'd tell you guys, just in case. That's it! See you in the next chapter.
