*Melody POV*
an hour later, we arrive at a huge building. in big letters at the front it says AQUARIUM. oh, i've read about these. this is where they keep living things they find in the ocean. oh barnacles. they don't know anything about me. i hear people talking and i decide to eavesdrop. "so, how much do you want for her?" i hear what sounded like that guy before say. "well, let me see her and i'll think about it" 10 seconds later the sheet they put over me was ripped of scaring me causing me to go to the back of the box i know found out was called a tank. "pretty little thing ain't she?" the guy i'm guessing is the buyer said. "yeah. made up your mind yet?" "i think at least 1 million." at his words my eyes widen. i'm not worth that much! i'm not even pretty! "1 and a half million and you got a deal." he made up his mind. "hey, Mark, this is the first mermaid found ever! that's it?!" he said to who im now guessing is mark. "fine! 3 million. that's all you're getting David" Mark said through gritted teeth. "deal" David said and shook hands with him. wait, 3 MILLION?! wow, i guess i am the only one they've found. the tank started moving and i held onto both side trying to steady myself because the water was swishing around like crazy! "hey be careful! i paid a good amount of money for her!" i hear a voice that sounded like Mark and i scoff and rolled my eyes. at least he's not calling me an 'it'. i think he saw me roll my eyes because he told the people to stop and he came over to me. "got something to say?" he said trying to act intimidating, but really, he didn't in the least. "uhh, yeah. i'm not an object you can just buy! I have a life too you know!" i exclaim trying to convince him to bring me back. didn't do much "i don't care, i paid for you and now i own you." he said.ugh, oh my god! "whatever, i'll get out, just you watch." i say pointing at him "and what? flop over to the ocean. you far away from the ocean now. you wouldn't get far" so he doesn't know that i can change back. that's an advantage. i look down pretending to be defeated, but i've already got a plan. "that's better. boys! bring her inside." the tank move all of a sudden make me squeal and the guys holding the tank chuckle. "it's not funny!" they just laugh harder. "ugh!" 10 minutes later, we arrived at the place where my new giant tank is. wow, there's so many fish in there, poor things. they pour the tank water where i am into the giant tank below me. i fall in with the water and look around the giant tank and see whale sharks, clown-fish, even puffer-fish and way, way more! i'm just glad the only predators to mermaids are humans. other whys i would be in trouble. it doesn't look like it's open so i guess i'm ok to look around. i see a little dome made of rocks, its away from the people view. there isn't much here. there's a rock ledge, that's about it. i feel a little hungry so i go collect sea-weed, jelly-fish, rock-algae and a sea cucumber. i notice the owners of the aquarium and Mark watching so i decide to do it outside the cave, show them what i like to eat. look around and see a giant oyster shell and pick it up. i rip up the pieces of sea-weed and put them in she bowl shaped shell. then i grab the algae and put it in the bowl. i pick up the sea cucumber and put it in the ground, and push on it. all of the creamy and spaghetti like insides come out and i look around for something sharp. there! i pick up the broken shell and cut of the strings and put it in the bowl and mix it. i swim over and grab the jelly-fish then lay it down and find the right tentacle, when i find it i cut it off and let it swim away, unharmed. (that certain tentacle didn't hurt it) i cut it up into small strips and put it into my food. i mix it then start to eat it. i look at the people and see some are amazed and some are disgusted. i just shrug then go to talk to some fish. i approach a whale shark and we just start to talk about random things. it turns to night and people start to leave. i go into my cave and i fall into a dreamless sleep.
