"Lyddddd," Niall whined down the phone, causing Lydia to laugh.

It had now been a week or so since they had made their relationship official to their friends and families, but the public was still very much in the dark.

"Niall, I can almost hear you pouting down the phone."

Niall hadn't seen Lydia the last two days, and he was actually missing her a ridiculous amount. It was nice that he had time off, that the band werne't on tour so he could spend as much time with her as possible but he still had radio interviews and studio recordings and album promotions to do with the other four boys.

"Can you not come round tonight?" He pleaded.

"I told you I took the evening shift at work," Lydia explained patiently for the third time.

"Yeah but I miss youuuuuuu," he whined.

Lydia chuckled. She missed him too though, she really did. They had talked briefly about what it would be like when NIall had to go away gallivanting away around the world, and Lydia definitely wsan't looking forward to it. It was bad enough going a day without him when she was used to him being in London every day. "Miss you too, Ni, but I'll see you tomorrow."

Lydia heard an intake of breath. "Yeah, about that..." Niall trailed off.

"What?" Lydia exclaimed. "You're busy?! Nooooo, Niall please don't be busy! I want to see you!"

"I am busy," he confirmed, "but you're busy too."

Lydia put the phone on speaker and placed it down on her bed so she could get changed for work.

"Um, that makes no sense," she said as she pulled her black long-sleeved top over her head.

"Basically," Niall's voice was grainy through the receiever but she was pretty sure he sounded nervous. "Me and the lads were asked to that film premiere today, you know the one at Leicester Square? Yeah, and management only decided to tell us about it today."

"Aw that's cool," Lydia said sincerely, even though she was a little disappointed she couldn't spend the night with her boyfriend.

"Yeah but..."

Lydia chuckled. "Niall, spit it out. I don't know why you sound so worried about this. You've done plenty of film premieres before. You've even had your own film premiere. Why is this so different?"

"Because I haven't introduced my girlfriend to the world at a film premiere before," Niall blurted out, his words tumbling out in one breath.

"What?" Lydia gasped, her arm getting stuck in one of the sleeves as she froze.

A nervous laugh came through the phone. "Yeah... well the boys are taking their girlfriends and Harry's taking his sister and I was told I had a plus one, so I thought... Well, what would you say about coming with me? As my girlfriend? Are you ready for that?"

Lydia didn't know what the hell to say. Because on one hand, she was terrified. Going to the film premiere with Niall would confirm the rumours that she was his girlfriend and she would be introduced to the world walking down a freaking red carpet, something she had no experience with whatsoever. This would certainly give her nightmares.

But on the other hand... IT WAS A RED CARPET! It was the opportunity of a lifetime, girls would kill to be in her position. And she knew that she had to come out to the media as Niall's girlfriend sooner or later... so she supposed, why should she wait? She liked him, she liked him a lot and she was pretty sure that wasn't going to change. And she was proud that Niall was hers. So -
