Chapter 10 love birds

 I realize me and Gavin haven't finish the project for science.

I grabbed my keys and went to Ethan's house. When I got to his house I rang the bell and Maya open's it  threw herself on me.

"omg I missed you Clair" Maya said hugging me tight

"hey look at you! you got so big. Let me guess Ethan told you?" I asked Maya and she nodded  then Ethan came

"Maya let go and go inside" Ethan demanded

"No, your not the boss of me" Maya said

"Mom isn't here so that makes me the boss" Ethan said. Maya let's go and went away

Ethan just looked at me. And I didn't say anything

"Yes?" He asked nasty

"you want to start this project" I ask

"Umm no I have better things to do" he said

"Really are you still mad at me, get over it. You probably didn't even get the stuff for the project" I said crossing my arms

"Actually I did, but I don't care anymore. At least I wouldn't lie to you like you did to me"Ethan said leaning on the door

"Really you got the stuff! were is it, I'll do all the work I know what to do" I said with excitement

"Whatever nerd it's in my room it's up the stairs first door to the left" he said leaving me at the door.

I run to his room and I guess this is his room since there food, clothes, and sport stuff everywhere. oh how nothing has changed.

I see the stuff under his desk. I go and grad it until I see photos of me and Ethan in 8th grade.

We were at Hershey park. Our family's went on vacation together. we were on this ride, I was holding on to him screaming and he was laughing at me.

"Why are you still hear, you got the stuff?" I hear Ethan call out to me at his door.

"Oh um sorry I was just um...leaving" I said when walking out

I go down stairs and start to work on this project in the living room it was already 11:58pm. It's been 2 hours and I am still not done with it I am stuck on this little part I don't know how to work

"How's the project going"Ethan asked  sitting on the couch

"Well it was going good until this part" I said

"Let me take a look" Ethan said

I couldn't believe it, he fixed the problem.

"Thanks I just need to test it and if it works were good" I said getting ready to test it.

"What were you looking at in my room" he ask sitting on the couch. I was sitting on the floor by the coffee table

"It was nothing I was just looking at this picture of us from 8th grade. We went on vacation together, why do you still have it?" I asked Ethan

"It was a really fun time. Probably one of the best days, and even though we aren't friends anymore you still had my back threw the bad times. Especially at that age.

He just said even though we aren't friends anymore. So that means we are not friends at this time

"Well i knew you were hurting and everything cuz of your father pass" I said

I can tell he was trying not to cry when I talk about his dad, they were close.

"Good job on the project it's getting late I'm going to head to bed. You can leave whenever, Just let Maya know" Gavin said when getting up to go to his room so I left and went home.
