A man was sitting in a shadowed room with a glass of whiskey in his hands. He was lost in his thoughts and was twirling the intoxicating liquid in a circular motion. All his plans were going wrong lately. After all who saw it coming that a barely four year old child would escape the hands of a trained killer and that too in the night, thwarting all his well laid plans.
A cruel smile escaped his thin lips, the person about whom he was thinking about was Amelia Carter and one cannot forget the fact that she was the daughter of Meredith Carter who had the brilliance to doubt him and his motives from the start itself. Like mother like daughter. Amelia hated him even when she was a baby. she refused to smile at him, used to stay away and watch him as if she could read all his cruel thoughts and that unnerved him whenever he was around her.
He too hated her with a vengeance, but he hated her whole family in the first place. He got half of his justice when he brutally killed Jonathan Carter and his beautiful wife, but everything went wrong when little Amelia vanished from the face of the Earth and Adrian suddenly went on a fishing trip with his grandfather that fateful day. Otherwise….. He had plans for the girl, his hatred for her made him ensure that he did everything with thorough planning and care but despite all his efforts, the children escaped. Most importantly Amelia escaped.
The glass shattered on the opposite wall. His anger was something that he couldn’t control. He always masked it when he was in public but he could never control it, it was like carrying a storm inside him which was continuously raging to burst free from its confines.
Fifteen years has passed after that fateful night when everything he had dreamed would have been his, was snatched away by fate. When years of planning went wrong and the luck of two little children saved their lives, it was his dreams that were shattered. Adrian has become a force to reckon with; he has taken over his father’s business empire and is still searching for his little sister.
Laughter ripe with mockery echoed in the dark room. He will make sure that Adrian never finds his sister, not when he was alive.
“Amelia Rose Carter….. where are you hiding little princess?” “I am also looking for you, you little b-----, and when I find you, you will be sorry that you were ever born.” He muttered under his breath.
He took something which was near his hands and threw that also. All his attempts at killing Adrian Carter too were failing miserably. Someone has warned the old man Carter and even Adrian about the threat looming over his head and after what happened at the Carter Mansion fifteen years ago, the old man has tightened the security and took all possible steps to make sure that Adrian was safe from his evil hands.
He sat there for some more time and checked his watch. Why is that stupid taking this much time? He muttered again. He was paying him, still paying him a good amount of money to find the girl but whenever the swine showed his emotionless face, it was to inform him that he and his bunch of useless murderers failed again. Useless bastards!!! He cursed. Swallowing his money and not doing their jobs? He should kill them first and then should do everything himself. He thought about their last meeting.
The news was always the same; there was no trail and no evidence of an Amelia Rose Carter living anywhere in the country. According to them, either that girl might have died early or she was living somewhere with no idea who she really was. He hoped to hell where ever that girl was it was either hell or somewhere where people cared nothing about little girls.
He heard the knock and prepared himself to face the man, he have never seen the person’s face but neither have the man seen him too. They always met in shady places like these, with almost no light and the only thing both of them knew about each other were their voice.
