Chapter 2 - Past Lives

I feel dead. It's like I'm never ever gonna rest again. In reality it's just sleep deprivation while having the most boring lecture from my French professor. And the worst is that I can't sleep because I'm in the front row. Even worse is that I didn't have my coffee this morning. Ugh.

Staring at my notes I can't really read anything at all, but then again that is French, I don't expect anything else. The annoying ghost in my head has been awfully quiet the last twenty minutes and I'm sitting next to Amin, so there's no actual way I could talk to him. Ugh, if only Eren was next to me. But he doesn't even have French now. Double shit.

As I stared at the board, trying to make ut the words with squinting my eyes at them, I got even more sleepy from the attempt at staying awake. So, in the most quiet way ever I laid my head on my desk and covered up with my book, placing my notebook up and then closing my eyes slowly, drifting off to sleep immediately.

Looks like I was gonna have another pretty dream with him. Oh, but no matter how much he tortured me, I still felt great seeing him in my dreams.

This time we were in modern time. Probably a century before now as I was dressed in a old fashioned black dress and had on high heels with bright red lipstick, while just standing there and waiting for him most probably. Then there he was himself. In a suit with a hat, elegant tie, dress shoes and everything while walking towards me women around the street threw him looks, which he totally ignored.

The moment he got to where I was, he stretched his hand out and asked: "Now, shall we go?"

With a nod and a smile, I lifted myself up and we started walking away towards something he had mentioned he wanted to show me from some time. As we walked I looked at him again, observing his sharp features and intelligent cold eyes, his ebony bangs everything about him.

With a soft squeeze on my hand, he brought me out of my daze as I looked ahead and saw a building, very tall building, but I saw nothing particularly special about it that he wanted me to see.

"This is not it yet. Don't worry, let's just enter." He said and I nodded, then we both entered the building, taking the stairs to the seventh floor after many complains coming from me, we reached our destination as he made me enter a specific room on the floor and brught me to the balcony.

"This is what I wanted to show you." He stated while I stared at the sunset with amazement in my (e/c) hues.

Colors of peach, blood red, yellow, light blue, purple and soft pink laced together from the top of the horizon, making it look relaxing and beautiful and breath taking. A memory of my first dream flashed in my mind, that sunset was almost the exact same.

As I supposerted myself at the end of the balcony, he came behind me and embraced me.

"How much time do we have?" He asked and I breathed softly out, feeling his breath come in contact with the bare skin on my shoulders.

"I told you I made sure we have two days all for ourselves. Tomorrow afternoon we'll have to go back." I said, still mesmerized by the sunset in front of me.

"Then we can take our time." He breathed out, his lips softly kissing up my shoulder, to my collarbone and neck, his warm hands protecting me, giving me security.

"Why do I think this is so familiar?" I asked as I turned around and looked him in the eyes.

"I don't know. Because we've done it many times before."

"No, not that. Just... the sunset and you and... Ugh, anyways." I rolled my eyes in irritation over my own weak memory as the man in front of me got quite surprised by what I was saying, though covering it just as quickly as he let it slip through his expression and kissing me gently on the lips.
