Heaven's diner had a light ambiance all through out this medium sized restaurant. It wasn't sumptuous and too posh. The whole setting isn't extravagantly designed, Yet it held an effect towards the community. I guess the foods that they were serving had a wham-bham-we'll-definitely-be-back-ma'am effect.
There were lots of people today. Minute by minute, People were coming in and out for take outs or dine in, And i'm definitely in for a strenuous day.
I wasn't a cashier girl anymore. Auntie Silvia, She told me to call her auntie..assigned me to a much laborious work. That is, To be a waitress. There was someone taking over the cashier, So it's definitely not available.
"Here are your orders, Ma-am and Sir!"
I came rushing back the counter with a perspiring forehead. Violet, The cashier woman took a glimpse of my huffing self after pushing the cash register close.
"Are you still breathing?" She asked, Quite impertinent but worried at the same time.
"Still alive and kicking, Letty," Taking one deep breath, I wiped my forehead with my checkered uniform sleeve before going right back the kitchen in a second.
