addie's pov

i woke up, yawning while stretching my arms out and hitting jack in the face.

"i'm sorry." i chuckled, after i yawned.

he just groaned and rolled over.

"jack wake up, you have to take a shower." i moved towards him and ruffled his hair.

he groaned again. "jack foreal, get up!" i said, pushing his arm.

"ugh." he groaned. "it's too early!"

"well, you should have taken a shower last night and you could have slept longer." i told him.

"you wanted me to come cuddle with you! you wouldn't let me take a shower." he laughed, propping himself up with his elbows.

"quit complaining and just get in the shower."

"take one with me." he pleaded.

"i'd rather not." i chuckled.

"why not." he pouted.

"because boys have cooties."

"are we still in second grade?" he asked.

i nodded. "just go take a shower and hurry up!" i ordered.

"calm down woman, let me go tell my childs happy birthday." he got out of bed and walked towards the door.

"it's children or kids, not childs jack. i thought you were smarter than that." i laughed at him.

i got up behind him and followed him to their bedroom.

"wait let's give them both a cupcake with a candle on it!" jack screeched.

"they can't have a cupcake for breakfast!" i told him.

"it's their birthday, let them have a cupcake!" jack frowned.

"whatever, let's go get them a cupcake." i said, he cheered and walked down the stairs behind me.

"sh, you're going to wake them up and it won't be a surprise anymore!"

"okay, okay." he giggled.

we grabbed them each a cupcake out of the container, i made some cupcakes yesterday for them.

"the candles are in that drawer!" i pointed towards the drawer.

jack took out the candles, placing one on each cupcake.

"okay, let's go!" he said, grabbing my arm and jogging up the steps.

"calm down jack." i chuckled at him.

"this is the first time i'm gonna be here for my kids birthday, i can't be calm. this is so exciting!" he said happily.

it's so cute how he's so excited for this.

he opened their door and walked in, turning the light on.

he lit the candles and we sang happy birthday to them.

they woke up halfway through the song and got up, hugging us.
